I'm Latina so my legs are not shy from the thick side. LOL. A few weeks ago I found the exact pair of OTK boots I

Fall Gear: Turtlenecks, Hats & Booties

Thursday, November 3, 2016

fall gear, fall accessories, hats, boots, dress in the fall

Hey, can I tell you guys a secret? I'm really wearing a summer dress underneath this turtleneck. Sometimes you just have to work with what you got. I wanted to create the illusion of a high-waist midi skirt and pairing this dress underneath worked perfect. I posted an image of this outfit on Instagram last week and a lot of people thought I was wearing a one piece. Sorry I fooled ya!

europe, travel, travel on a budget, passport, traveling while broke

As the year begins to wind down I always like going down memory lane and reminiscing on everything I've done throughout the year. One of my top memories of this year that still stands out the most was traveling to Europe. It was me and my husband's first time in that part of the world and it was an unforgettable trip. We got to experience so many different cultures, beautiful cities, delicious foods and connect with some amazing people.

How To Tackle Unpredictable Fall Weather

Monday, October 31, 2016

over the knee boots, otk, fall outfits, cardigans, houndstooth print, forever21

The weather lately has been very confusing. Over the weekend it reached 80 degrees! This always seems to happen right around the time I transition my Kloset from summer to fall, leaving me confused on what to pull out of my wardrobe. I do admit I did enjoy that nice weather break before we really head towards that brutal winter weather.

A Plaid & Fringe Mix

Monday, October 24, 2016

plaid, fringe, black outfits, fall outfits, sunglasses

It's no surprise that plaid is a very popular print that's associated with fall and it's also no surprise that I love wearing it a lot. I wanted to style a plaid outfit but wanted to give it a different spin. I love mixing different elements together and decided to pair this plaid shirt 90s style around the waist with these fringe booties.

Why Fall Is The Best Season

Thursday, October 13, 2016

As if I need another reason to love Fall!
I recently received this hat and immediately fell in love with it. Fall accessories are the best, with hats being my favorite and I think that's why I love the Fall season so much. If you haven't already, make sure you invest in a few hats this season to add to your wardrobe. They add such a nice element to your outfit just like this one did for me. Keep reading and see where you can snag this hat!

Making Life Easier With Scotch-Brite Lint Rollers

Wednesday, October 5, 2016

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias,Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #StickItToLint #CollectiveBias

As a dog mom, I never really realized how important and versatile a lint roller would be to me. I love my little pup Brotis, but lets just say he has his good share of hair he leaves behind both around the house and on my clothes. As the weather transitions to Fall the fashionista in me tends to wear more black clothes in comparison to other colors. Let's just say that black jeans and dog hair do not mix together!

It's Sweater Weather!

Monday, October 3, 2016

Fall, sweater, forever21, Fall looks, denim

Can someone please tell me how did we get to October so fast?
I feel as if yesterday I was welcoming September and here we are starting a new month already. October is my favorite because of Halloween. I love dressing up and going out for Halloween and seeing everyone else's costumes. My husband says Halloween is like my Christmas, lol. This year I'm doing a DIY costume with items from my Kloset and I can't wait to show you guys! Are guys Halloween obsessed like me?

5 Lipstick Colors You Need For Fall

Wednesday, September 28, 2016

NYX, lipsticks, cosmetics, fall makeup,

As the season changes into fall our wardrobe changes but lets not forget about makeup! Just like my wardrobe the hue on my makeup transitions as well. I love dark and berry colors for fall in lipsticks and eyeshadows. Today I'm sharing with you guys my 5 favorite lipsticks for fall. This was very hard to narrow down to 5 because I'm such a lipstick hoarder it was too many to choose from. I chose a variety from liquid lipsticks to matte and best of all they are all affordable.

Hope you guys enjoy my picks!

A Fall Chic Outfit With Basic Pieces

Monday, September 26, 2016

fall, motto jacket, booties, fall outfits, cargo pants

Happy Monday guys, I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a pretty relaxing weekend, which consist of One Tree Hill episodes on Netflix and pizza. I forgot how good that show was! On Thursday last week my husband and I went to the Verizon center for the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour and boy did all those songs bring me back to high school. We had so much fun glad we bought those tickets.

Where To Get The Best Cupcakes in D.C.

Friday, September 23, 2016

(image via google)

Happy Friday guys!
Here's another post in my "D.C. Weekend Series" I said I was going to be sharing with you guys, because D.C. just has so many amazing things to do and places to eat. Speaking of eating did you catch that delicious cupcake picture on my Instagram this week? A friend of mine recommended a great place to visit for some amazing cupcakes called Baked & Wired. I must say amazing is an understatement. Those cupcakes were DELICIOUS! Over the weekend my husband and I had a fun date night to enjoy the last official weekend of summer. So we ended our date at the amazing bakery everyone is raving about.

How To Wear Cutoffs In The Fall

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

With the official day of Fall being tomorrow, I am definitely starting to see earlier sunsets and feel that crisp air against my arms in the morning. I cannot wait to start seeing all the color change on the trees and the beautiful falling leaves.
Today, I am showing you guys how you can still wear your cutoffs in the fall! I wore these shorts religiously this summer, in part, because they fit me like a glove. I wanted to incorporate them into the next season without looking too summery. The best way to do that? Add some tights or a pair of hosiery to go with your shorts.

Addressing My Skin Concerns With Neutrogena

Monday, September 19, 2016

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Neutrogena® and #WeAllGrow Latina Network. The opinions and text are all mine.

Hey guys! Hope you all had an amazing last official weekend of summer before Fall begins!

It's Beauty Monday today on the blog and I'm sharing my skin care concerns with you guys. I'm also sharing how I am keeping my skin healthy. As much as I love makeup, taking care of my skin is unequivocally more important. I've always said that behind a good makeup look there's an even better skincare routine. For me I like to keep a consistent skincare regimen because then it becomes easier to see results. I'm excited to join the #PielSanaEsBella campaign with Neutrogena because cuando mi piel esta sana yo me siento mas confidente (when my skin is healthy I feel more confident). Neutrogena is the #1 dermatologist recommended brand that I've trusted and relied on for many many years.

Incorporate Flare Denim Into Your Fall Wardrobe

Thursday, September 15, 2016

If you want to add something new to your fall wardrobe I definitely recommend a pair of flare denim. These are a double favorite for me because they are high-waisted. There super comfy and can't wait to style them again. My husband doesn't seem to like them, he thought I looked super 70s but I'm digging the flare style.

Transitioning To Fall

Monday, September 12, 2016

Happy Monday loves. Hope you all had an awesome weekend.

Upgrading my Daily Beauty Routine

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

This is a sponsored campaign written by me on behalf of Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant and WeAllGrow Latina. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

beauty, dove, beauty routine, dove partner, deodarant

I have been using Dove products for many years and have always incorporated them into my daily routine in different ways. With that said, it is very exciting to now have teamed up with them for this post where I got to try the Dove Advanced Antiperspirant deodorant. Dove conducted a survey with Latinas across the U.S to get a better understanding of their beauty routine. Out of their beauty products, Latinas surprisingly ranked deodorant as the one that makes them feel most confident (2x more than toothpaste and 3.5x more that foundation). I couldn't agree more with my fellow Latinas. If I ever forgot my deodorant, which has happened a few times, my confidence would honestly be severely impacted!

Printed Top + White Jeans

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Happy September! I haven't had a chance to say that on the blog. This post was supposed to go up last week but it was an incredible crazy and hectic workweek, I didn't even get a chance to post this. It was a pretty jam-packed Labor Day weekend, my mother in law and grandparents were in town. We had lots of fun barbequing and hanging poolside. How was your LBD weekend?

D.C. Weekends: Arlington National Cemetery

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

Happy hump-day!
I wanted to start a new series on the blog called DC Weekends. There is so much to do in DC and it's surrounding areas (Virginia and Maryland) and I wanted to share it here on the blog. This past weekend hubby and I went to visit the Arlington National Cemetery. It's the final resting place of more than 14,000 veterans including those who fought in the Civil War. It's 624 acres, so make sure you bring your walking shoes because my legs still hurt from all the walking we did in there. There's no admission to get in unless you decided to do a tour. The benefit of doing the tour, you get driven around in a trolley. If you're not a big walker I would suggest doing the tour.

Different Ways to Reuse A Maxi Dress

Monday, August 29, 2016

maxi dress, summer looks, maxi skirt, blogger, fashion

Have you ever had an old item in your kloset you just didn't know why you still had it but couldn't part ways with it? Well, that's the case for this maxi dress and me. I've had this maxi dress for a very long time and knew I should of parted ways with it a long time ago. I haven't worn it in a while but I love the mustard color so much, I just didn't want to part ways with it. I got a little creative with it and gave it a little twist. Get creative and find different ways to reuse old pieces so you can get more out of your wardrobe.

Because Leopard Makes Everything Better

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

leopard, summer looks, denim skirt, crop tops

I'm currently having some summer anxiety because I know fall is literally right around the corner! Ahhh. Am I the only one feeling like this? I'm currently holding on to as much summer that's left. I started to feel this way this week as the temperatures in DC haven't felt so harshly humid plus the kids start school early over here so it really gave me that summer time sadness. Cue some Lana Del Rey.

Who Wear Shorts Shorts?

Friday, August 19, 2016

The temperatures are rising here in DC so wearing minimal clothes is becoming a necessity for me. These high-waisted shorts are my favorite for the summer. They have been going strong for about four summers now and I don't plan on parting ways with them no time soon. An interesting fact about me when I was in High School, I had a huge complex about my legs and wouldn't wear shorts not even if my life depended on it. I eventually got over it and learned to love all parts of my body and I'm glad I did.

Signs You Might Be A City Girl

Monday, August 15, 2016

summer, countryside, city girl, dress, summer dress

A couple of weekends ago I attended a friends wedding in southern Virginia for the weekend. It was about a three-hour drive from my house and my hubby and some friends rented a cabin. I must say this city girl really had her taste of the countryside that weekend! It was definitely an experience for me driving through dirt roads, having cows and horse in our yard, no lights on the streets and being so high up on the mountains. I think that might have been the moment I realized how much of a city girl I am. We had a little bit of downtime between all the wedding activities for the weekend and decided to do a shoot and embrace the nature around me.

Summer Stripes

Wednesday, August 3, 2016

I been so MIA this week but I been growing an annoying little wisdom tooth and all I can say is ouch! I been in so much pain over the past few days but I finally feel like it's calming down. I'm a little short on content for the blog this week but I will be shooting new looks this weekend.

The Best Dress For The Summer Heat

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

shift dress, summer, dresses, summer outfits

Summer is one of my favorite seasons. I know it might sound crazy to some but I actually enjoy the heat. DC has been really hot you guys! The humidity makes the air un-breathable and that's the part of summer I hate also because the humidity and my hair just don't go together. I've left my house looking like a poodle quite a few times.

Preparing for My Bold Moments

Monday, July 25, 2016

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, INC. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MyBoldMoments #CollectiveBias

Happy Monday guys!
Time to jumpstart a new week and kick it in the butt!

What are your mornings like? Today, I am sharing my bold moments with LISTERINE and taking you firsthand into my morning routine. Oral hygiene has always been so important, and even more so as I've gotten older. When I was kid, my mom instilled in me the importance of taking care of your teeth and gums. I guess that's why I never had to use braces and always got that coveted good feedback every time I went to the dentist. Thanks mom!

A Parisian Look

Thursday, July 21, 2016

Hey guys!
I wore this outfit on my last day in Paris and I was really trying to go for a Parisian look.

Black & White Stripes

Monday, July 18, 2016

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend. I unfortunately spent it taking care of a sick hubby and was a little sick myself. We had a very chilled weekend at home watching One Tree hill on Netflix. I really forgot how good that show was.

Travel Diary: Paris

Friday, July 15, 2016

This is my last travel post for the week. Our last stop was to Paris for two nights. The first day there we arrived super late due to major traffic. One thing I quickly learned about Paris, is that the traffic gave NY a run for its money lol. It's a super congested city. We made the best of the first night in Paris and headed into town to eat. That night France had won a game in the Euro Cup so the streets were crowded with chanting fans. I thought Yankee fans were bad but boy France represents their country lol.
