New Year's Eve Look | Counting Down To 2017

new years eve look, sequins, midi skirt, holiday style,

Hi loves, I hope you all had an awesome Christmas weekend! It felt so good to go back home and see family and friends. The holidays without them are just never the same. The trip back home can
sometimes be a hassle especially since we travel with Brotis now and especially when that holiday traffic catches us but it's totally worth it. Now that Christmas has past, I'm totally ready to countdown to 2017!

Bring it on 2017!
This year has had a lot of ups and downs for me and I appreciate all if it because without the downs I think you can't appreciate the ups as much. Every year at the end of the year my husband and I always write our selves a letter/list of goals we want to accomplish in the New Year and at the end of the year we go through our list to see what we accomplished. I love this little tradition because it keeps us motivated!
I can definitely say I have scratched off so many things off my letter and that makes me feel so happy. One of my biggest goals was to experience a trip to Europe and I'm so happy we visited 5 countries this year! We had a few set backs during the year and I really thought the trip wasn't going to happen but I'm so happy it did. I can't wait to see what travel plan 2017 has for us. Another major goal I accomplished this year that I was too afraid to do before, was taking the blog full time and turn it into a business. Life has a funny way of showing us so many signs and I didn't ignore that this year. I can't wait to see what direction the blog goes in 2017 and I can't thank you guys enough for being apart of the journey. I have so many goals, plans and visions for it. 2017 I'm ready for you!

Now on to this look! We didn't have any set plans for NYE until last night. We found last minute free tickets to a NYE party in downtown D.C. I'm sure it's going to be hectic but I just didn't want to spend it at home this year. I'm not sure what to wear since it's fancy attire but I definitely want to wear some sequins to ring in the New Year. I shot this look weeks ago so the weather was bearable. I found this inexpensive olive green midi skit at Forever 21 for under $10. I paired it with a sequins top and some 5-inch heel showstoppers. lol. I paired it with a black moto jacket but to dress it up I added a faux fur stole around the neck. My jacket came with the detachable stole but pairing a faux fur stole with any outfit always gives it a nice classy touch. I really love the way this outfit turned out with all the different elements together.

What are your plans for NYE?

  2. It sounds like you had quite a year! Checking off some Europe travel sounds amazing. What 5 countries did you go to? Also a free D.C. party sounds amazing. I used to live there and I remember NYE parties were rarely free. I'll be in Edinburgh, Scotland for NYE. It will be epic.
