I wanted to start a new series on the blog called DC Weekends. There is so much to do in DC and it's surrounding areas (Virginia and Maryland) and I wanted to share it here on the blog. This past weekend hubby and I went to visit the Arlington National Cemetery. It's the final resting place of more than 14,000 veterans including those who fought in the Civil War. It's 624 acres, so make sure you bring your walking shoes because my legs still hurt from all the walking we did in there. There's no admission to get in unless you decided to do a tour. The benefit of doing the tour, you get driven around in a trolley. If you're not a big walker I would suggest doing the tour.
