This post is sponsored by Kohl's. I was paid for this post and received the included shoes as compensation.

'Tis the season friends!

The holiday season is here and that can only mean one thing... shopping! Whether you are buying gifts for the family, close friends, or even a little treat for yourself we all have a little holiday list we have to get through come this time of year. This holiday season, I teamed up with Kohl's to share what's on my holiday shoe list. You guys know I'm a huge shoe lover and Kohl's has an extensive shoe collection for everybody that made my "nice" list this year, with various brands like Clarks and New Balance to choose from. I'm sure they have something for every one on your list too!

First up, lets talk about these tan Clarks Valarie 2 Ashley ankle booties. I love ankle cut boots and these have cushion soft padding inside so they feel super comfortable to walk in. Like the saying goes, "these shoes were made for walking." They have a small 2-inch heel, which turns these into everyday shoes for me. I love that they are versatile and can be dressed up or down. With this look, I created a casual holiday look and I feel dressed up without having to wear super high heels. These were definitely a no-brainer to add to my list! Oh, and these also come in black as well plus in a version as well.

Now let's switch over to a more sporty style with these Nergize from New Balance. As a new mom, I have been adding more sneakers to my wardrobe but without compromising style. These sneaks are stylish and come in a variety of colors. I could not leave these off my list because they are a multi-use shoe. These are good for working out or for a day of running errands, like all my busy mommas are accustomed to. I was never into athleisure styles and sneakers as much but they are just making my life easier lately. For this look, I paired my foam sport sneakers with printed leggings and a classic trench jacket. This look works for both going to the gym and running errands.

I honestly still can't believe the holiday season is here but hey bring on the holiday parties, right? It's the season of dressing up and many holiday events, parties, and gatherings. If you need a little inspiration on what to wear here goes my first holiday look I'm sharing with you guys. It's already my favorite probably because it includes a little leopard. I'm a big fan of the print and just couldn't let this holiday season pass on by without creating a leopard look. I also love to wear red during the holidays, not that you need to wear red to create a killer holiday outfit but it's such a festive color.
I paired the leopard skirt with this red bell mesh sleeve loose top from Lookbook Store and if you have been following my collaboration with them this is the last look. (Check out the other two here and here.) I love a good sleeve that makes a statement and this top does exactly that. Red and leopard go together very well, it's the perfect match if you ask me. I also love the little poof on the shoulders. So 80's! If you don't know I love that era, music and fashion.
I must confess something though. There's one part of this look I don't like much and regret wearing it. The shoes!! I wish I would have gone with a softer shoe choice like maybe pumps. Trying on outfits at home and looking at yourself in the mirror is very different than when you see it on camera. That's my one regret from this look. What do you guys think, comment below. What would be your shoe choice?

How To Make A Summer Dress Fall Appropriate

If you have been following my blog for a while then this dress might look a little familiar to you. Remember this post and this post? I've worn this dress in pretty much every season and today I'm styling it for a fall appropriate look. When I received this army green open front blazer from Lookbookstore I immediately thought layers for fall. The button details and stand collar are my favorite part! Gives the blazer such personality and you guys know I'm a blazer obsessed gal. I don't own a blazer this color so I was very happy to add it to my collection of blazers.

Adding fall elements is an easy way to turn a summer piece into a more fall appropriate look. I've worn this dress with denim underneath but the booties and blazer were the perfect elements I was looking for. They instantly made the look fall ready. So if you have a summer piece you really love challenge yourself and see how you can wear it in different ways during another season. Fashion, to me, is all about making your wardrobe fun and challenging yourself to style things different ways.

What's In My Diaper Bag?

what's in my diaper bag, diaper bags, mom accessories, mom bloggers, bravo stroller, mommy and me, luxury diaper bags

The first time we took Leah outside for longer than an hour I honestly didn't know what to pack in the diaper bag with me. I'm the type of person that always likes to be prepared for the worst so let's jus say I packed the entire nursery with me minus the crib and changing table. Haha! The first month postpartum I didn't go out at all except for her one month appointment (which is 5 minutes away) so I didn't really give it thought about what to pack in a diaper bag when we go out for long periods of time. As the recovery process got better my husband and I started making longer trips with her outside, to the mall, restaurants, and to shoot looks. I remember stuffing that bag to capacity. I kept thinking all the worst case scenarios happening in my head and thinking man what if I need this. Ironically the first time we took her on a road trip (when she had jus turned 2 months) to NY I forgot to pack extra wipes and let's just say I had to become MacGyver at a rest stop because they did not sell baby wipes and I was complete out and had a stinky diaper to clean.

Leah is now about a week away from turning 4 months old and I have kind of gauged on what to pack for her Whether it's short trip to the mall or longer trip like visiting family in NY no more packing the entire nursery with me. I've learned on what's essential and a must in my bag.

What's In My Diaper Bag?

The essentials
diapers, ointment, wipes, lotion, hand sanitizer, bips, burping cloths, expressed milk/bottles, nursing cover ( which doubles as a car seat cover) a teething ring

Extra clothes
2 long sleeve onesies, 2 short sleeve onesies, 2 pair of pants - in case she gets dirty.
socks and a hat - these things are small and can get lost easily

Entertainment
as she's getting older I carry 2 soft cloth books with bright colors that make crinkling noisy but this girl is a people watcher whenever we are waiting somewhere outside.

Mom essentials
bottled water, small snack like a granola bar, chapstick

Mommas what's in your diaper bag? Where you a overpacker like me in the beginning?

Patty's Kloset | 5 Years Old

Last week Patty's Kloset turned 5 years old!! Every time a blogiversay rolls around I get real nostalgic because when I first started this platform I had no idea what route it would go. Every year as it develops I love to see the growth of my brand and my life with it. This blog has been with me through so many stages of my life: marriage, moving to another state, through highs and lows of life, and best of all becoming a mom.

If you are new here, first thank you for following along and here's a little background about Patty's Kloset. I started this blog in 2013 as a way to share my looks and bargaining skills because this girl loves a good sale! Lol. Back then I had no idea what blogging and social media would become but it was a great way to connect with people and share things I loved. By 2015 when I moved from New York to Washington DC I had been working on the blog hard and consider doing it full-time once I started to work with brands and saw potential at this becoming my source of income while doing something I loved. I was very scared to take that leap even though my supporting husband was encouraging me to take it full-time. I ended up finding an office job down here which paid great and I was familiar doing the work. I have a business background and an accounting degree so I'm no stranger to the office life but somehow I wasn't feeling fulfilled or happy anymore with that part of my life. Just a few months after starting this new job there was budget cuts and my position was one of them to go. I took that as a sign and instead of dedicating my time in looking for another office job that wasn't going to fulfill me I dove nose deep into my blog. It's one of the best decisions I made because I get to to create content while working with brands I love. It's something I enjoy and also love that I connect with so many people from all over the place. Seeing something I created from scratch turn into a brand is a pretty amazing thing to me and best of all I can work and take care of my daughter. For me that is a blessing!

So if you been a loyal reader and follower thank you guys for all the love and support and if you are new here, welcome! I'm excited to see what's next for PK so cheers to the next chapter.

Thanks again for all the love and support!
Whether you just come by for some outfit inspiration, relate about that #momlife, laugh at my stories, beauty tips, or just come to escape the reality of this crazy world we live in, thank you. It means the world to me!

Mother Nature seems to have her seasons confused because it snowed over here in D.C yesterday. This girl is not ready because heck I don't even have snow boots lol and I also have some more fall content to share. So before I share all about heavy jackets and winter accessories I'll be sharing some more fall goodies like this color block open front cardigan from Lookbook Store. I love super long cardigans and I'm not sure why I don't own more of them. The colors on this one are very fall appropriate and my intentions were to shoot this look in a park full of fall foliage but again Mother Nature hit me with a curve ball and it rained.

I wanted the cardigan to be the star of the show so I paired it with simple denim and a classic white tee. Adding some accessories like the wide brim hat and belt bag elevated the look. The cardigan has a nice fit and a great length of you are short like me. Lookbook store has a ton of trendy items perfect for fall (what's left of it) and I love that you can also shop many of their products on Amazon as well!

p.s - and for those who commented about my hair when I posted this look on my Instagram please know it was a total accident. I got a little rained on and somehow it created these puffy curls I kind of liked.

I love classic pieces that have been in my wardrobe for a long time no matter how many trends come and go. For me it's this trench coat which I've had for almost 4 years! It's a classic piece so it will always be in style and I always bring it out during the fall and spring. If you been following me for a while then you've probably seen it season after season. I purchased it at Forever21 and it was super affordable. I've seen many pricy trenches out there but if you look you can find one for a good price that will last you a long time. I've worn this one so many different ways and I love the way I paired it for this look. I was going for a simple yet classic look and this white button up did exactly what I wanted. I wore basic denim and my favorite fall boots at the moment. The accessories and the trench brought the look up a notch.

Do you guys like trench coats? I know I sure do and I hope to wear this one for many more seasons to come. Below I linked 10 affordable options for you guys!
