Feeling Bad To The Bone | Pink Moto Jacket

Don't you just feel bad to the bone when you wear a pink suede moto jacket? I know I do! To quote Game of Thrones "Winter is coming". The temperatures are starting to dip real fast over on the East Coast so that means I have to wear all my fall jackets ASAP. This pink moto is a favorite of mine and can be worn so many different ways. I went for a more "bad to the bone" look by pairing it with these Dansko boots and mesh stars top. I haven't worn this top in a while and I was a little hesitant to wear it with my postpartum body but hey I'm embracing the changes to my body after the baby.

Black and pink looks great together if you ask me. To finish off the look I added a black cabbie hat which my husband says all the time I look like a cab driver in. I really love this look especially for fall. I hope to wear this jacket again soon before Mother Nature officially hits us with that harsh winter weather!

3 Baby Products I Could Have Skipped As A First Time Mom

3 Baby Products I Could Have Skipped As A First Time Mom, first time mom, baby products, mom bloggers, 3 month old

I've been a mom for 3 months now and I'm slowly starting to notice their's some baby products I haven't used or have found to be an issue for me. I remember when I was half way through my pregnancy and started making my registry list I was extremely overwhelmed with all the products to add. Some products I asked mom friends of mine if they recommended it but even if they said no I wanted to be extra prepared for my baby and I ended up just adding everything. If you're a first time momma reading this by no means am I telling you these products don't work. Every baby is different and these just didn't work out for me.

3 Baby Products I Could Have Skipped As A First Time Mom

1.Bottle Warmer
I remember going back and fourth with this one and asking so many mom friends of mine what they thought about this product. My reason behind second guessing this product was that if I warmed up my baby's milk in the house she would get use to that and when I gave her a bottle outside and I couldn't warm it up like at home she wouldn't take it. After two and a half weeks after she was born I started to pump and introduced her to the bottle because I knew I would get back to working soon. Since then she's never cared for warm milk. I've given it to her cold out the fridge and also at room temperature and she's content either way. The bottle warmer has sat on my counter and has not been used once.

2. Changing table with a cover
I purchased my changing table as a matching set with the crib and it's the ones that have three drawers for storage on the bottom and the changing table cover on top which you can put sheets on. I honestly hate it because I constantly have to wash those sheets because my daughter pees, spits up, and one time pooped on the changing table. I seriously wash those sheets almost everyday. I'm at the point where I took of the sheets and have her lay on the uncovered mattress. If she does dirty it I can just wipe it because the mattress has a plastic material. During my last trimester I was addicted to watching Youtube videos about labor and delivery and came across a Youtuber showing her nursery and notice she had a changing pad (like this) to change her son's diapers and I thought it was perfect. I don't have to put a cover and if it gets dirty it's easy to clean. I'm in the process of re-doing my daughters nursery and I'm going to order a changing pad to make my diaper changing life easier.

3. Wipe Warmer
This one falls into the same category as the bottle warmer. If I use nicely warm wipes to clean my daughters tush at home, I won't be able to do the same when I'm outside when she needs a diaper change. My mother in-law had purchased a wipe warmer for us and it ended up missing the plug part. I never followed up with it in finding the plug and I just started using the wipes as is on my daughter. I don't think my daughter minds it not being warm. Sometimes she cries and sometimes she doesn't. I honestly don't even think she cries because they are cold. It's just another product sitting in my shelf that hasn't used.

Are there any of you mommas out there that just didn't use or didn't like a baby product as first-time mom?

As always, thanks for reading!

The minute I hear the word fall I immediate think of booties. I'm currently obsessed with these red varsity striped booties I recently got from Forever21. It was love at first sight and if I can wear these everyday I would. They also come in black which I've linked for you guys below. They were also at a good price point and I linked a ton of trendy booties under $50 below. I don't mind splurging here and there but this new momma loves to save now a days. There's so many affordable options without having to sacrifice style!

When I put this look together I based it around the booties. I love black, white, and red together, it's actually one of my favorite color combos so I paired it with this "Influencer" sweater I picked up as F21 also. I mean could this sweater be anymore perfect! I'm actually wearing a dress which I made look like a skirt. I love doing that because I get lots of uses out of one item. Do you guys do that?

The Joker | Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Joker makeup, halloween makeup, batman and the joker, halloween, costume ideas

Every year I love to do a fun Halloween look on the blog to share with you guys. If you are new here then you should know this girl loves Halloween and I have been dressing up for every Halloween since I was little. Even as an adult I still found Halloween to be fun. Funny story about last year, my husband and I wanted to be The Joker and Harley Quinn but the reverse. I was going to be the female joker and I was going to do this look last year. I was going to glam it up and give it my own touch. However, I was pregnant last Halloween but didn't even know it. I was soooo tired and blamed it on work because I was so busy around that time with the blog. We ended up skipping Halloween and for the first time I didn't dress up. I should of known something was up because I missed Halloween lol. Of course weeks after we found out I was pregnant. So this year I did the female joker. I didn't do it glam like I had intended but I still loved the way it came out. Halloween is so fun!

Here's a quick tutorial on this look and forgive me for missing a few frames but doing this makeup with a baby wasn't easy. So mamma forgot to snap a few pics in the process.

I purchased a face paint kit from Five below and applied the white all over my face in a very messy way. That's the beauty of this makeup, the messier the better it looks. When applying it on my forehead I tried to scrunch up my face so that the forehead lines would show but for some reason they didn't want to come out. I guess I've done a good job at taking care of those pesky forehead wrinkles lol.

Next I used Maybelline's Master Kajal Eyeliner in black to make a circle over my eyes (to the top of my brows) and started to blend that in. To give it more depth I used a blending brush and any black eye shadow to smoke out the edges of the circle. Again the messier the better!

For the scars on the lips I really wanted to go all out and buy the special effect glue to really make me look like I have a real scars but I couldn't find it in stores. I used Ofra's Liquid lipstick in "Atlantic City" and over drew my lips a bit. Then took a black liner to draw the scars. I used a blending brush to smoke out the black to give it some depth and make it look like real scars as best as possible. Then I took a skinny angled brush and dipped it in the lipstick and went over the scars. Lastly, the paint kit from Five Below came with a small bottle of fake blood and I added that over the scars and around my lips.

Ever since I became a mom I notice I'm gravitating towards more comfortable shoes. Don't get me wrong guys I'm still the same shoe lover, but I have been opting for more comfy options that still look stylish. For today's post I'm collaborating with Mi.iM to share these amazing loafers I styled for fall.

These backless loafers are what I call perfection. They are perfect for the fall season and I have been wearing them on repeat. I love how comfortable they are! They are also very versatile because they pair well with skirts and pants. You guys know I'm all about pieces I can re-wear in different ways. For this look I was going for a casual fall vibe look. I love the way the  pearls on the denim paired so well with the loafers. It gave the look a dressed up/ put together style without having to wear heels. So if your looking for comfy stylish footwear to invest in this fall you should add these to your list.

Love Yourself!

I shot this look at the end of September and it was one the first shoots I did after the baby. I was officially back to work and it was the first time seeing my body on the camera in pretty clothes postpartum. I was excited to get back to my element and finally wearing clothes that wasn't sweats because that was my uniform since getting home from the hospital. Out of 100 pictures I probably liked 2. I looked different and looking at that mom pouch was just making me wanting to cry. My photographer I work with is amazing, the shots as always look amazing but I hated the way my body looked. I loved everything, the shots, location and clothes but couldn't say the same for my body.

Last night I came across the file where these pictures were and said I was going to post these anyway pooch and all. It's taking me some time to adjust to my new body and since these pictures I have lost a few more pounds. My body still feels different and I don't think it will ever feel the same even if I ever drop back to my pre-baby weight and if I don't I'm ok with that too! Love yourself is what I keep repeating in my head and will say here to anyone who needs to hear those words. So love yourself, accept yourself, forgive yourself and be good to yourself!

Last weekend we went to the Homestead Farm pumpkin patch with Leah for the first time and it was so much fun. She fell asleep the minute we got there so these were the only pictures I got of her. Lol. I love fall activities! This year we didn't do the apple picking portion because it got really chilly. I wanted to do the pumpkin patch instead to get a few pictures of Leah and pick out a small pumpkin for her. Some people might think it's silly because she probably won't even remember this day but I love creating memories and I hope to show her these pictures when she gets older.

Do you enjoy fall activities?

Balancing Life As A New Mom

Mom blogger, new mom, fall fashion, fall outfits, fanny pack

Mom blogger, new mom, fall fashion, fall outfits, fanny pack

Every time I refer to myself as a "mom" it's still sounds surreal to me. This new mom life has good days and bad days and I think I've realized that that's ok. Before I use to be such a planned person and if things didn't go according to plan I would go crazy. Something my daughter has thought me is to adjust to change. Leah is now 11 weeks old and she's starting to get into some type of a routine. So things are a little easier in the house. I still remember in her first month I was so overwhelmed because this was all new to me and I felt there was just not enough time in the day to do everything.

Aside from being a mom, I'm also a wife (a damn good one if you ask me lol) and I don't ever want to stop being one just because I became a mom. I also don't want to lose myself in the process. I still want to do the things I enjoyed before the mom days and I'm not talking about partying up the town but something as simple as going for a manicure or shopping. A long time ago I read somewhere "in order for me to be a good mom and wife I need to take care of myself". I totally agree with that because I cant give 100% of myself to someone if I don't feel 100%. Things are very different now but I'm slowing trying to balance everything out. I'm blessed I have a great husband and we both help each other during this whole new journey so that we don't lose ourselves in the process. Sundays are football days for my husband so I try to give him those few hours to himself while I take care of Leah and he does the same when I want some time to myself to do whatever I want.

Somebody sent me a message a few days ago and told me I look like I have everything together as a mom. I literally laughed out loud. This is a prime example of don't let pretty pictures on social media fool you. I have my moments of breakdowns, meltdowns and everything in-between as a mom. As I share more mom related post on here I want them to be transparent. I want to create a positive space here and not only share the good but also the bad days. Nobody is born knowing everything nor is there a manual to this mom life. So if you're a new mom and feeling overwhelmed you're not alone. Hang in there and try to find that balance and whatever works for you.

Is it even fall if you're not wearing a blazer? Haha! I saw that caption the other day and thought it was so true. No matter how many trends come and go blazers are classic pieces and are perfect for the start of the fall season. If you have been following my blog from the beginning then you already know my love for blazers is real. You've probably seen every style and color of blazers on me. I love how versatile they are! If you would like to see a post on different ways to style a blazer let me know!

I've bought this blazer during the end of my pregnancy and knew I would wear it eventually post pregnancy. I love the material, cut, and color of this one. I paired with a pair of culottes and my favorite mules. The hat was a last minute add-on and I love the pop of color it gave the look. It also gave my look some serious Parisian vibes. I seriously feel like all I'm missing is a baguette. Hey, I wouldn't mind visiting Paris again! AU REVOIR!

Check out below I linked a ton of blazers in different styles and colors you can wear this fall season. Let me know which one is your favorite!
