Being pregnant has been such an amazing journey. I mean I'm cooking up a human inside me and sometimes I still can't believe it! I'm very blessed and thankful for the miracle of life I prayed for. The first trimester was all about adjustment for me and the second was amazing. Now I know why they call the second trimester the best trimester. As I entered my last trimester last week I'm starting to feel heavier and more uncomfortable. The closer the finish line gets the more I keep thinking about postpartum life. I'm ready to meet baby girl and I'm also ready to do the things I couldn't do for 9 months. Here are 10 things I look forward to postpartum.

1. Sleeping on my stomach - I told my husband the other day that I can't wait to fall asleep like a pancake on my stomach! I'm an avid stomach sleeper and can't wait for that glorious moment.

2. Wearing Jeans/ finding my waistline - Throughout this pregnancy, I've only bought 2 maternity jeans and I grew out of them fairly quickly. Lucky for me when the bump really grew the temperature was great so I pretty much have been living in dresses for the last 2 months. I really miss wearing jeans or pretty much anything that hugs my waist.

3. Sushi - I don't explore too much with my sushi like eating raw fish. I usually stick to California rolls and more basic things like that. I read during pregnancy basic sushi is ok but I just never wanted to take that chance so I haven't had throughout my entire pregnancy. I'm hoping one of our first date nights as parents with my husband is to a sushi bar because I miss sushi!

4. Alcohol - I'm not saying I was an alcoholic before being pregnant but I do miss the occasional chilled beer or a glass of wine. I plan on breastfeeding so I know I still need to control my alcohol intake after birth but at least it's something I can plan ahead and still have postpartum.

5. Smelling whatever I want - Did you guys know I haven't worn perfume in about 6 months. In the first trimester, I couldn't stand the smell of deodorant, perfume, scented soap, lotion, pretty much everything. In my second trimester, things got better but there are still scents I don't like (baby doesn't like) and I miss. I'm limited to certain lotions and perfumes and can't wait to wear whatever I want.

6. Intensive Workouts - I still work out while pregnant but of course light workouts. Excercise for me has always been like therapy and I love sweating from intense workouts like kickboxing and boot camp classes.

7-  Not needing assistance with basic things - basic things like drying my feet and tying my shoes that I can't do by myself anymore. Luckily my husband has been very helpful with that and heck I even have my photographer help me out with my shoes when we shoot. I sometimes feel embarrassed to ask for such simple help.

First and foremost I want to apologize for the lack of content here. My site was acting funny at the end of last week and then yesterday complete went out. I honestly felt like I lost a child in a store and couldn't find them. After a few hours of being worried it finally got fixed. I have a few new posts to share that have been backed up since my site was acting funny.

Today's look I'm sharing was shot on a very very hot day. I have been gravitating towrds comfortable pieces the bigger I get during the pregnancy and the hotter it gets. I am officially in my third trimester and can't believe where the time has gone. I want to share a separate post on everything I been feeling as I entered my last trimester in this pregnancy.

This dress is super airy and I love the floral print. It's also non-maternity guys! I paired it with my new Fossil bag I received a few weeks ago. It has so many compartments inside I want to use it as a diaper bag. Long are the days where I use to leave the house with just my wallet and keys. lol My bag now will be full of anything and everything baby. Many of you asked where this dress from when I shared a picture on my Instagram, below is the link for you guys!

Summer is here! Well not officially but the weather has finally cooperated and I'm able to wear all my fun dresses. I always been a fan of bodycon dresses pregnant or not. They always fit comfortable for me and are easy to layer. This is not a maternity dress but it fits the bump perfectly by sizing up. I've worn a ton before being pregnant on and off the blog during the summer months and they seem to fit me just the way I like. I layered it with a polka dot open drape blazer which is good for the spring or great to throw over those chilly summer nights. I had this blazer in my closet for a while but just couldn't seem to piece it together. I think it worked great as a layering piece.

I left the heels at home for this shoot and went comfortably with these gingham print sandals. I think my obsession with gingham print will never die. It's so funny I'm so used to wearing heels all the time that I caught myself doing an imaginary heel pose in some of the pics. Lol! I'm starting to stack up on comfortable slip-on sandals as I'm noticing my feet starting to get swollen towards the end of my pregnancy. Yikes, I'm not ready for that!

The M.O.M Squad | What's Your Super Power?

Hey guys, I wanted to share a secret I have kept for a very long time. This feels as good a time as any to reveal what i've kept to myself: Did you guys know that I am a blogger by day and a superhero by night?

There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable individuals so that we could do the things nobody else could. I was recently contacted by Summer Infants about a very special project called The M.O.M Squad. I was super excited to hear about this project and incredibly happy to be a part of it. I always believed Moms were the real superheroes of the world and, as a first-time mom, I could not be happier to be a part of this project. Three other real-life expecting moms and I were turned into comic book superheroes to reveal our superpowers to the world and, just as importantly, to celebrate motherhood. They, also, sent an open letter to Marvel about this innovative project. You guys know that I am a huge Marvel fan! Everything went live last month and has been featured on The Bump and Celebrity Baby Trends. It is so exciting and surreal to be a part of this project, and I could not be happier to be a considered a SuperMom.

Check me and the other mommies being turned into superheroes here.

PATTY: THE MOTHERLOAD
Able to carry anything children need while out and about, The MotherLoad is always prepared for any situation.

Thank you to Summer Infant for this amazing project. Join them in celebrating all moms and nominate your real-life superhero. That special mom will win a prize worth over $1000! See all details here.

"It's gonna be May!" Haha, that Justin Timberlake meme around May 1st just never gets old for me. I seriously can't believe May has arrived. If you notice the blog posts have been slowing down here a bit but there's been so much going on. My energy has slowed down the bigger I get. I honestly feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball all day lol. Even walking my dog feels like running a marathon to me lately. I'm very thankful for the slack my husband has picked up because this prego girl can't do it all like I use to.

There's also a month left to my baby shower so there's been so much in that department. From buying supplies and having things ready on time. I will be doing two, one back home in NJ since 80% of our friends and family are there and then a small brunch with our friends from DC the week after. I was definitely a hands-on bride when I was planning my wedding so being involved in my baby shower is like second nature to me. I can't help it!!

My husband and I have also been slowly getting the nursery ready. We are working with a small space so we've had to get very creative. My husband has taken on all the heavy lifting and building by himself, I'm sure that's taken a toll on him physically. There's been so much going on so if the content is a little slow here I apologize. I haven't abandoned you guys, there's just been a lot going on. I definitely have promised myself to have at least two posts up per week so you'll be seeing content up here.

If there are any specific topics you guys want to see on here just let me know! I can't wait to share the nursery once it's done, baby shower pictures next month and my maternity shoot. Thanks for listening to my chit-chat today and for following this crazy journey to motherhood with me!

Walking into spring like... 👩! There's something about the nice warm weather that puts me in a good mood and I think you can tell by these pictures. They just look so happy, breezy and spring-like. I'm also very excited that this jumpsuit from last summer fits me with the bump. It's very comfortable and that's exactly what I look for in clothes during this pregnancy. Check out my Insta-stories today to see this jumpsuit from last summer vs with the bump. This denim jacket has been on repeat this entire spring. I love denim jackets because they look good over pretty much any outfit. The cherry on top of this look was my new Kate Spade bag. When I first saw it I knew this would be my spring baby and inspired me to share today's post. I linked a ton of spring bags below for you guys! Let me know which ones your favorite!

Hi guys! I'm so excited to finally show you guys my new layout on the blog. I felt the blog needed a huge refresh not just on the outside but also on the inside. As my life changes so does my blog. As I'm about 100 days away from become a mom I can't help but think how much my life will change even more once baby girl arrives. I love sharing all those changes on here and I hope you guys follow me on this journey. The first few months I was pregnant I felt a little lost with the blog because I didn't know how to transition and balance it with all the changes that were happening in my life. Fashion and beauty will always be my passion but as my life changes I love sharing other things with you guys like my motherhood journey and more personal pieces.

Not everyone adapts to change quickly but I'm glad I finally feel at a place where my blog reflects pieces of my life. I always want to stay true to myself in my line of work so I'm happy I finally feel that balance. I love the pictures I shot for this post because to me the cherry blossoms represent the change of the season and this post is all about embracing change for me.

I want to give a huge thank you to the amazing template designer Pretty Likely. She's so amazing at what she does, check out her Etsy shop. I'm very picky and detail oriented and she made every single one of my visions for the blog come to life. So take a look around, I hope you guys enjoy and keep following along!

What Pregnancy Has Taught Me So Far

I'm already a little over halfway through my pregnancy and it has been one heck of a ride. From the minute I found out I was pregnant to this day so much has changed. Not just physically but pretty much in every aspect of my life. Some people say your life doesn't change until after the baby is actually here and although I know that will be a huge adjustment once baby girl arrives I still believe things have changed now. I feel different and I'm just not talking about the magical glow pregnancy leaves you with.

I've found myself listening to my body more and more. Before I was pregnant I would work to the bone and skip lunch until I would finish what I'm doing. Even if I felt light headed I would just keep going. I love my work ethic but sometimes you have to listen to your body. Nowadays pretty much everything tires me quickly but when my body says it needs a break or a nap I listen to it. My husband makes fun of me because he knows how much I hate napping and now I take so many frequent naps to recharge. My body needs one almost every day from growing a human. I also find myself asking for help. Before I would love to do EVERYTHING myself and pride myself in not asking for help. That's not the case now. I physically and mentally can't do it all so asking for a little help nowadays helps me out so much. I thank my husband a lot in that department. Whether it's a little extra help with worth related things or household he helps out when I ask him to.

No two pregnancies are the same! I use to be worried if I wasn't showing enough or showing too much as I progressed during the pregnancy. I quickly learned not every pregnancy is the same and to stop comparing myself to other women. There are women who start showing from the beginning and some that don't show until the end. Also during the first trimester, I didn't really throw up much rather had nausea about 90% of the time. The only things that would get me through the days were fatty foods and ginger ale. While I read about so many women not being able to hold any food down I wondered if it was normal that I was able to eat (fatty foods) and keep it down. Not every women, body or pregnancy is the same so I stopped thinking about it and just started to enjoy my journey more. My body is exactly where it needs to be and doing exactly what it's supposed to.

I think the most powerful thing pregnancy has taught me is how to be strong. I've never experienced this amount of body changes from hormones, stretching, pain and just overall making life adjustments. I'm not the best person to adapt to change quickly and this has been the biggest change I've ever gone through without much time to adjust. I also fear the unknown and I think about what my labor and delivery will be like and it scares the shit out of me especially because I have a low tolerance for pain. The more I think about it though, I feel l fear it less because I can't wait to meet baby girl. It's almost like I know I'm going to go through a tremendous pain but if that means meeting baby girl I have no problem with it and don't fear it.
