Sunglasses are always a fun way to elevate your look no matter the season! When spring comes around I love to opt for more bright and fun frames. They can top off a look perfectly. Thinking way back I was never into sunglasses and somehow now I can't live without them and I'm running out of storage space for them as I've grown quite the collection. SO if you guys have any unique suggestion on how to store them please comment below. Are you guys huge sunglasses lovers?

I have big spring fever as you can tell by today's look. I'm all about pastels at the moment and pink to be exact! When I was putting this look together I loved it but felt something was missing. When I added the sunglasses it was the cherry on top I was looking for to complete the look. These sunglasses are from DIFFeyewear and I recently collaborated with them on my Instagram. Their sunglasses are amazing quality and they have a ton of unique styles. The ones I'm wearing are flash mirror lenses in a cat eye style and they come in 3 colors. I am so obsessed with these! You can use my code OSORIO for $10 off (valid until 3/20). They will be having a huge sale this week and I'll be sharing it on my Instagram so stay tuned!

Below I linked a few sunnies from DIFFeyewear below that are perfect for spring. I love sharing different price points for you guys so I included some on the low range as well. Let me know which ones are your favorites!

Day In the Life | What My Day Looks Like

mom bloggers, stylish moms, spring outfits, blush pink, spring sneakers, dc bloggers, spring outfit ideas, blush pink, mizmooz

When Instagram got the questions feature for the first time last year I played Q&A with you guys and someone asked what I do for a living. When I answered full-time content creator some of you were surprised I do this full-time. I wanted to share a fun post today and take you through my day. Working from home 80% of the time and now with a baby is hard and a lot of work. In the beginning I was going crazy because I had no idea how to balance. I'm not saying I got it figured out 100% but I found some kind of groove and somedays go better than others.

I must start by saying as a content creator not everyday is the same. I've tried to have some kind of "schedule" for the week but that can vary as projects come along. That's the beauty of this job things constantly change and opportunities come through the door at any time. Coming from the corporate world where I did have a set schedule for many years it took me a while to understand this kind of job and sometimes I still struggle with that. I've also learn that as a mom, plans and schedules can go out the door at any moment. For the most part I've worked out a little routine and this is what it looks like for me. You'll read what's it like during my day as a content creator, mom, and wife!

Mornings
My day starts at 6am (sometimes I snooze to 6:15) and I start working. Leah usually sleeps until 8 or 9 but lately she's been waking up at 7:30. If I'm lucky she goes until 9:30 and it gives me 2-3 hours of interrupted time to work on my blog, social media, and emails. Unfortunately I have to do this from bed (I hate doing that) because she stirs a lot in the morning and since she sleeps in the bassinet next to me I'll just give her the pacifier and she just goes back to lala land. The night before I leave my computer charged and a to do list of things I want to accomplish so I get straight to it. In that time I'll get to my emails, blog post, social media post, and /or if I have any projects pending I have to work on. When she wakes up is when I physically get up and start my day. I change her, feed her, prepare the bottles for the rest of the day and also take out my dog's food. My husband leaves at 6:45 so I usually take care of my dogs food in the mornings. By the time her first feeding is done, I eat breakfast, shower, and brew that caffeine, almost 2 hours have gone by. I play with her a little and she goes down for her first nap. She use to sleep for about 2 hours but like I said things always change so now she sleeps for probably an hour max! I continue working while she sleeps. I catch up with my social media, edit photos or videos or if I have to take any campaign pictures in the house I try to do it in that hour that she sleeps.

Afternoons

By the afternoon Leah is full of energy! Lol. That girl is throwing toys in her playpen left and right. Between the early and late afternoon she has 2 bottles and I also feed her solids. I don't get much computer work done when she's up because she's very active now so I'm trying to keep up with her. I also get mom guilt and feel like I'm not spending enough time with her so I try to interact with her during the afternoons. When I sneak in lunch I try to work from my phone like answer emails, engage on social media, or edit my photos I have pending for my blog or social media to post for the week. If I am working on a campaign that week I give it priority and try to work on that during the day until my husband comes home. He usual gets home around 4:30 and when he does I take my dog for his afternoon walk. It's a great break for me to go outside get fresh air and disconnect from my computer and mommy duties. The weather is starting to get warmer so the walks are little more enjoyable. Working from home and being home 80% of the time can be hard because sometimes you crave adult interaction and just being outside. That 20% when I'm not home I'm usually shooting outfits or campaign photos, events, buying products for campaigns, or having work meetings with my fellow blogger friend. That definitely varies every week!

Evenings

My husband usually takes Leah when he gets home to give me a break so I usually take that time to relax, figure out dinner, or maybe do a chore or two. Also, two days out of the week my husband stays with Leah even after my little break so that I can work with no interruptions. I usually work on any pressing things or if it's a slow week I usually prepare content or get organize for the following week so that I can get ahead of the game and have less things to do during the day so I can focus on taking care of Leah. Over the last few weeks that schedule has been off because we've had appointments, unexpected things happen, and also my husband got sick. Like I said plans sometimes go out the door so I have to adjust. If I didn't catch up with something that has a deadline I usually end up going to bed super late and work on it after everyone has gone to bed. By the end of the night it's usually my favorite time because I get to unwind and watch my favorite shows on Netflix with my husband like The Office. We have watched the entire series three times lol. Leah usually goes to bed for he night around 9 and once she does I'll start preparing for tomorrow and just watch tv or relax until bed time.

Getting Ready For Spring

When ever March rolls around I get crazy spring fever. Although it's the month where spring officially starts sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and still feels like winter. That's the case for this year because heck we are even getting snow and the end of this week. I still like the idea of March being the month to spring clean for me and to get ready for the change of seasons that hopefully we'll be seeing soon around here. There's so many things to switch out around the house and also move around some wardrobe pieces in my closet as well. I love starting with areas around the house like changing up the living room decor, bedroom color scheme and tightening up some closets  Heck my linen/beauty product closet has Marie Kondo written all over it! Spring cleaning the house will be my task this weekend. I actually enjoy organizing, some people dread it but it's one of my favorite chores.

Spring cleaning my wardrobe is always fun. I love see more colors and new pieces to play around with. Comment below if you would like me to share my spring cleaning wardrobe tips! This year I also get to spring clean my daughter's wardrobe and I'm going to be sharing it in a post to show you guys how I organize her clothes.

When do you guys start spring cleaning? 🌸

Day 7 NYFW -FW19 | Afffair

nyfw, fashion week, nyfw streetstyle, nyfw trends, nyfw 2019

We've made it to the last day of NYFW! The show on the docket for this day was one of the last ones of the night so I shot my look earlier in the day. If you've been a follower of this blog for a while this dress looks familiar. I wore during my pregnancy and now I styled it differently not pregnant. This dress fit loosely aroundthe waist which was prefect when I was pregnant. I couldn't part ways with this dress after I gave birth because I love the print and the neck and sleeve details are super cute. It's hard to see with my coat on but I love this dress. I paired it with a red belt and it automatically revived the dress in a whole new way. It's crazy what a little accessory can do. I added a trendy piece to the look with this clear see through bag.

Haute couture looks closed out NYFW this season with Afffair. The designer has become a popular with Hollywood as he recently customized Ashanti's dress for the Grammy's that past Sunday. How cool is that? There was a Turkish supermodel who opened up the show in a gorgeous two piece. The collection had lace details, dresses, skirts and pant suits. All the lace looks were my favorite. Which look is your favorite?

Thanks so much for joining me on this fashion week recap. Hope you enjoyed all these amazing designs and collections. If you want to see a video recap I create of my week, check it out here.

Day 6 NYFW -FW19 | Ghada Al Buainain and Harlienz

nyfw, fashion week, nyfw streetstyle, nyfw trends, nyfw 2019

On day 5 we had no shows so we had a very relaxing day in the city. It was much needed becasue I always start fashion week with so much energy and by day 5 I'm always riding the struggle bus. Lol Day 6 I woke up early to shoot my look because Mr Snow came for a visit that day. It was some kind of mix of hail with snow. NYC was just a hot mess but like they say, the show must go on! This cozy hooded fleece jacket is from Lookbook Store and I'm so glad I brought it with me because it kept me warm. I would have never paired it with a midi skirt but I'm glad I tried something different because I really love how this look turned out. This jacket definitely kepted me warm and I don't think I took off my hood the entire day. Lol. These are one of those unexpected looks that end up being my favorite.

This duo designer from the Middle East brought us some amazing looks. The theme was Arabian fashion and we saw lots of drapes, silks, asymmetrical cuts and amazing jewelry designs. This collection was amazing and totally worth trooping the snow to Pier 59. I love seeing collections that epitomize culture. The burnt orange fit (first one below) was my absolutely favorite. The color and the design is amazing! It was my first time experiencing this duo designers and I'm already interested in learning more about them. They definitely got my attention with his amazing collection!

Thanks for reading and enjoy this entire week of recaps.
One more day!

Day 4 NYFW -FW19 | Hakan Akkaya

nyfw, nyfw2019, nyfw streetstyle, nyc bloggers, teddy coat

Day 4's look I was trying to go for an edgy/cool look. This look was not a planned outfit but like I said in my first NYFW post of this week, 80% of the stuff I bring always ends up being mixed up and changed. My feet couldn't take heels anymore so these flat studded boots saved my life. They paired pretty well with this sweater dress from Lookbook Store which I love because it has pockets. You guys know I'm obsessed with pockets! It eliminates awkward hands during shoots. Lol! Seriously, the dress is great because its versatile. I paired it here with heeled otk boots and I love it with this more relaxed vibe for day 4.

The first time I witness one of Hakan Akkaya's shows a few seasons ago I was left in awe! His collections and designs are always nothing short of amazing. This year his collection was "glam rock" which definitely describes his style and vibe. There were so many edgy looks with lots of sparkles, puffy shoulders and lots of details. If some of these look can make their way to my closet I would totally love that. Ha! I loved at the end when he came running down the runway with so much emotion. He was rocking the coolest jacket with spikes! As always well done Hakan!

Day 3 NYFW -FW19 | Oxford Studio Fashion

nyfw, nyfw streetstyle, pier 59, fashion week, nyc bloggers, nyfw2019

Day 3 was a fun day but it was SO cold! I came back home sick and I'm sure it was due to the cold on this day. It was unbearable no matter how many layers you had on. This look was one of my favorites because I'm currently obsessed with anything snake skin and also this coat means so much to me. Would you believe me if I told you this coat belongs to my grandmother? My grandmother in her day was all about fashion. I guess the love for fashion runs in my blood. For those that don't know I grew up with my grandparents, they are practically my second set of parents. She use to show me a ton of pictures of her when she was younger and I loved her style and sense of fashion. It reminds me so much of my taste in fashion. Even through out my years when I was living with her she use to have so many cute shoes and a ton of things that I wish were my size so I could wear. She's now retired and lives on an island and has left behind a lot of her things. I guess you don't need a floor length hooded fur coat on an island. LOL This coat she gave to me and I just had to wear it to NYFW. It's so cute, fashionable and it may look thin but that thing was really warm! It paired so well my snake skin pants. My husband said I have 90s vibes with this look and I don't mind that at all. It reminds me a little of the JLo and LL Cool J video in the snow from back in the days. Thanks grandma for the coat!!

This day we had one of the longest shows in Pier 59. Oxford Studio Fashion had 14 designers showcasing their designs. I love this one because it's a mix of independent designers from all over the world. There was a little bit of everything in this show with so many different designers. It was hard to narrow it down but I choose 6 of my favorite designers from the bunch and shared my favorite looks below. It was tough to narrow it down but if I had to choose one collection, Ron Ramos was up my alley. I would love to learn more about him because his collection left me wanting more. I wanted every piece in that collection. Check out all my favorites below and let me know which one you like!
