Florals in the Park

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Hi guys!
Is anyone else loving this four day work week? Wish all the weeks were like that lol.

First and foremost I must apologize for the crapy quality on some of these photos.  I was out in the park shooting and only got 3 pictures in with my camera when it noted that the memory card was full. Blogger problems huh? I had to shoot the rest with my iPhone. Nevertheless I still managed to get a good shoot in.

I was so excited when the weather hit summer-like degrees this past weekend. I've been dying to wear this floral peplum top for the longest. I was just waiting for the perfect weather. I love the feel and shape of this shirt and the print is floral so thats a plus in my book. I paired it with red jeans to make the look even brighter.  I originally thought of pairing it with a skirt but decided on the jeans. I surely want to pair again with a skirt and heels next time, but this time I opted for the comfy and casual look.
I accessorized the look with these awesome sunnies I'm currently obsessing over from Charlotte Russe for just $5. I haven't had a pair with white frames but these are super cute. I, also, wore this cross body clutch, which I now have gotten so much use out of as either a clutch or cross body purse. Lastly, I wore white and gold bow sandals.

I want to thank my fiancé for being so supportive of my blog and being my photographer behind Patty's Kloset. I know you are reading (hi babe) and I just wanted to say thank you! I truly appreciate it.

The Bachelorette

Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Happy Tuesday guys!
I had my bachelorette party this past weekend and wanted to share my outfit details.

I went to Atlantic City for the weekend with my girls. I've never been to AC even though, ironically enough, I've lived in Jersey for a long time. I had a great time with my girls! We stood at the Tropicana hotel for a night. Given it was Memorial Day weekend it was pretty crowded. I wasn't able to go to the beach because Saturday during the day was surprisingly cold but I still had a great time. I wore my "bride to be" sash all weekend long and I must say lots of random people kept congratulating me, which was pretty cool.

I wore this white knitted dress from Joyce Leslie. I was very picky on the white dress I wanted to wear for this weekend. I wanted something classy yet a little sexy and I'm so glad I found this dress. I love the midi length, which gives it the classy look. I paired it with these glittery Marc Fisher sling backs. The shoes were a bridal shower gift and the minute I saw them I knew I wanted to wear them for this weekend.  I didn't wear many accessories because I wanted to keep the look clean. Also, I knew I was going to be wearing my sash. I just finished off the look with a bright bold pink lippie.

Here's a few pictures from the weekend.

Armed and Readi Event Recap

Monday, May 26, 2014

Happy Sunday guys!
Hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend. If you follow me on Instagram I posted up a picture last week of a fun event I attended. I didn't have a chance to post the recap of the event, since it's been a busy busy week. Nevertherless, I finally have a chance to share the event.

Pop of Neon

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Happy humpday guys!
I can't wait for this weekend because it's my bachelorette weekend! yeahhhh!
24 more days until the big day!

Enough wedding talk now; lets get to today's outfit.

I wore this outfit this past weekend to my cousin's graduation. I LOVE this dress. I found it at H&M a few months ago on sale for $15. I remember contemplating on getting it because I had dresses at home that I hadn't worn yet so I knew I didn't need another dress. I'm glad I ended up getting it anyway because it worked great for my cousins event. It has such a classic look with the perfect midi length. You can't tell in the pictures but around the neckline it has a little bit of ruching.
I didn't want to add much jewelry to the look; in fact all I wore were stud earrings and then I wore my hair in a bun to give the dress a classier feel.
I decided to wear these neon heels to give the outfit a pop of color. Man, are these shoes bright! I love them. Everyone complimented me on my shoes but I think it's because you can't miss them from a mile away lol. To finish the look, I wore a black clutch with a gold trim and a bold magenta lip color.

I wanted to share a quick story from my cousin's graduation that still has been on my mind. One of her fellow graduating classmates was supposed to graduate this past Saturday but unfortunately was in a car crash 2 days before and passed away. It was such a heartbreaking sight to see the family at the ceremony not being able to see her walk on stage and get her degree. Her mom was brave and walked the stage when they called her daughter's name and she walked the stage while holding her daughter's cap and gown in hand.

With that said, remember that life is short, don't take anything or anyone for granted, appreciate the little things in life  for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.

Thanks for reading. Much #love.

Festive Vibes

Monday, May 19, 2014

Happy Monday guys.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Let's get to today's "festive" post.

I recently connected with the owner behind ColorMyBubble. If you haven't heard of this brand, they are a sunglasses company designed by Malia Faleafine. If you're looking for some stylish and funky glasses I suggest you take a look. Malia has a wonderful personality, and really makes some fierce sunglasses. When I looked through their lookbook,  I loved all of the glasses and I didn't know which ones to choose. lol. I decide to go with these round ones with a floral trim design. They are so festive; I almost felt like I should have been at Coachella with these babies. They are truly one of a kind and nothing like my other shades.

I paired them with this aztec print maxi dress. Maxi dresses are just so comfortable and easy to style for the summer. You guys will see a lot of maxis on the blog as the weather gets warmer. I love the subtle pop of coral on the dress, so I decided to make it stand out more with a over the shoulder coral purse. It totally meshed well with my boho vibe.

I loved the scenery we found over the weekend for this shoot. Now that spring has sprung, there is lots of greenery and flowers everywhere. I felt this was the perfect background for my festive look.

My Maxi

Thursday, May 15, 2014

Happy Thursday!
This past weekend was maxi weather so, of course, I had to bring out my maxi dress.

Maxi dresses are my go to during the summer. They are a simple one piece and you're out the door. During the summer on those days where it's really hot and you're just not in the mood to get dressed a maxi dress is your best bet. I got this one last year in the sale section at Joyce Leslie for $10! I couldn't leave it behind, especially for that price. I love the material and I love the little mermaid silhouette it gives you.
I'm very picky with my maxi dress because I'm only 5'1 so they usually drag. When I find one that fits my length perfect I must get it.
I kept the look very simple and easy. I added a small black clutch and a black hair scarf tie to give my outfit a fun touch.

Clutch - Target
Sandals (even though you can't see them ) - Charlotte Russe

Thanks for stopping by my kloset!!! One more day until the weekend!

Remix Outfit: Floral Blouse

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Hi everyone!
This is my first remix post.
I always said theres nothing wrong with re-wearing the same pieces in your Kloset.

It's always fun to see how one piece can be used so differently; that's why I always love to re-wear pieces. It's a way for me to challenge myself and see how I can style it the next time. I really love this floral blouse and you can see I styled it in three totally different ways.

Look 1 (left) - This was from a more recent post (Monday Blooms). I would say that, out of all three outfits, this is the more in-between outfit in terms of me being dressed up but comfortable. Paired with linen pants, red wedges and a nude clutch gave it a very spring look.

Look 2 (middle) - This time I paired the floral blouse with distressed denim and gave the outfit a more edgy meets chic vibe. To play off the color even more, I went with an electric blue clutch and some red pumps. More of this look in my Floral Friday post.

Look 3 (right) - This is one of my favorite blog looks. I gave the blouse a very sophisticated look. I paired it with a green pencil skirt this time and black/ gold toed pumps. I, also, added a blazer to it. More of this look in my Sophisticated post.

Which look is your favorite guys? Please comment below.
I will be archiving my remix posts in a "Remix Outfit" tab on the top. There's never nothing wrong with re-wearing something. Just get creative and you can reinvent the same article of clothing into a new outfit every time.

Embellishments

Monday, May 12, 2014

Happy Monday guys.
Hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day weekend with there loved ones.

I wore this outfit this past Saturday; boy was the weather a little bipolar over here. It was muggy and close to 80, but at some point raining and then at some point sunny. It was really weird lol. I was very undecided on what to wear and just went with this.
I love embellishments on blouses, I feel they give a plain shirt a little more detail. This one has these beautiful blue gems, which I totally fell in love with. They really make a statement. Last time I wore it, I paired it with black tights. This time I wore a good old pair of white jeans.
I kept the look very simple and clean since the embellishments made a statement. I finished the outfit with these black wedges. They were a bridal shower gift from a friend. I love that everyone nailed my style very well. These are definitely ones I would've picked up on my own. Lastly, I wore this electric blue clutch to contrast with the embellishment on the blouse and of course a bright bold red lip, which is always a great finish to any outfit.

Clutch - Furormoda
Jeans - similar here (on sale)

Put a Bow on it

Thursday, May 8, 2014

Hi guys!
Sorry I've been a little MIA on the blog but its been such a busy couple of weeks and it's going to be a busy next couple of weeks too, so please bare with me.
I did this look last week and I finally have the time to share it with you guys.

The sun was playing peek a boo with me this day; of course when I decided to take these pics the sun went away. I loved the color scheme I put together and it looked even brighter when the sun came out. I worked the outfit based on this cute head piece I found at Forever21 for only $3.80. I originally was going to wear it on my honeymoon for a night walk on the beach but I just couldn't wait! There are so many ways to wear it and this time I wrapped it in a cute side bow. I paired it with my comfy boyfriend jeans and this yellow knitted sweatshirt. I felt the yellow made the head band pop even more and gave it a cotton candy color scheme.
To finish the look, I wore these neon pink pumps. I couldn't wait to wear these already this season. I've had them for a while now and I love how neon they are. I'm all for anything pink.

Jeans - Asos
Sweatshirt - H&M

Thanks so much for reading guys! Hope you enjoyed this colorful post. I'm really loving this head wrap and I think I want to get more colors and designs. It's a good way to spruce up a boring hair day.

Have a great day!
