Being pregnant has been such an amazing journey. I mean I'm cooking up a human inside me and sometimes I still can't believe it! I'm very blessed and thankful for the miracle of life I prayed for. The first trimester was all about adjustment for me and the second was amazing. Now I know why they call the second trimester the best trimester. As I entered my last trimester last week I'm starting to feel heavier and more uncomfortable. The closer the finish line gets the more I keep thinking about postpartum life. I'm ready to meet baby girl and I'm also ready to do the things I couldn't do for 9 months. Here are 10 things I look forward to postpartum.

1. Sleeping on my stomach - I told my husband the other day that I can't wait to fall asleep like a pancake on my stomach! I'm an avid stomach sleeper and can't wait for that glorious moment.

2. Wearing Jeans/ finding my waistline - Throughout this pregnancy, I've only bought 2 maternity jeans and I grew out of them fairly quickly. Lucky for me when the bump really grew the temperature was great so I pretty much have been living in dresses for the last 2 months. I really miss wearing jeans or pretty much anything that hugs my waist.

3. Sushi - I don't explore too much with my sushi like eating raw fish. I usually stick to California rolls and more basic things like that. I read during pregnancy basic sushi is ok but I just never wanted to take that chance so I haven't had throughout my entire pregnancy. I'm hoping one of our first date nights as parents with my husband is to a sushi bar because I miss sushi!

4. Alcohol - I'm not saying I was an alcoholic before being pregnant but I do miss the occasional chilled beer or a glass of wine. I plan on breastfeeding so I know I still need to control my alcohol intake after birth but at least it's something I can plan ahead and still have postpartum.

5. Smelling whatever I want - Did you guys know I haven't worn perfume in about 6 months. In the first trimester, I couldn't stand the smell of deodorant, perfume, scented soap, lotion, pretty much everything. In my second trimester, things got better but there are still scents I don't like (baby doesn't like) and I miss. I'm limited to certain lotions and perfumes and can't wait to wear whatever I want.

6. Intensive Workouts - I still work out while pregnant but of course light workouts. Excercise for me has always been like therapy and I love sweating from intense workouts like kickboxing and boot camp classes.

7-  Not needing assistance with basic things - basic things like drying my feet and tying my shoes that I can't do by myself anymore. Luckily my husband has been very helpful with that and heck I even have my photographer help me out with my shoes when we shoot. I sometimes feel embarrassed to ask for such simple help.
