Styling A Bar Cart: New Year's Eve Edition

Hey, where the party at?! This is my last post of the year and I'm sharing a little sequins and my bar cart. I've never hosted a NYE party at my own place before because my apartments have never been
big enough to host a large party. When the day comes for my husband and I to become homeowners I will definitely be throwing a holiday party. I love to host and I love to decorate parties. Maybe I missed my calling as a party designer or something. LOL.

Before I get into how I decorated my bar cart I wanted to give you guys a little back-story on the cart. I actually purchased this in IKEA and it's a utility cart for the kitchen. I really wanted a gold bar cart but just didn't want to spend a couple hundred bucks on one. The utility cart was under 40 bucks and it originally had a silver trim. I bought gold spray paint and painted it myself. I had images of this project, which I was going to share on the blog but somehow lost that memory card. I loved the way it turned out and it's one of my favorite pieces in the apartment.

When it comes to styling my bar cart for the holidays I love to add Christmas lights around it, gives it a nice festive vibe. For the first tier I added a glass cube vase with fresh pinecones and a tall glass vase filled with Christmas ornament balls. The silver and gold mixer was another DIY project of mine. I keep it on the bar cart all year round but the glitter looks perfect when decorating it for the NYE. The "BAR" sign has led lights, which really brightens up the cart for a party. I found this little gem at Staples for 12 bucks! It was a total steal.

Of course the best part of a bar cart is the booze! I'm a huge wine lover and thanks to my brother in-law's awesome Christmas gift I'm pretty much set with wine for probably a year. lol. He gifted us a case of various wines from Heartwood & Oak alongside two gift cards for more wine. This was such an awesome gift and the packaging was so cute! I'm one happy wine lover.
