Raise your hand if you like staycations! A few weeks ago I was invited by Kimpton Carlye Hotel DC to experience a mini staycation with my gals. They are a boutique hotel located in Dupont Circle. It has the perfect location as it's a 10-minute walk from some of D.C.'s shopping and food area. They also have a restaurant in the hotel, The Riggsby, if you wanted to just dine in. Other amenities included free wifi, spa service, 24-hr fitness center, a daily evening wine hour and best of all its pet- friendly.

I love boutique hotels because they are always hidden gems people never seem to know about. Upon check in I couldn't help but love the artwork around the lobby. The Marlyn Monroe and JFK one were my favorites, super cute and colorful. The artwork gave the lobby a nice relaxed vibe. They also had a rotary antique phone in the lobby. If you saw my Insta-stories you saw I wanted to snap a picture with it and when I picked it up it actually dialed the front desk. Haha!

The rooms we checked into were pretty spacious and had a nice view. We were able to see the Washington Monument from our room. The bathroom was a beauty lovers dream. It had a cute vanity set up perfect for hair and makeup. My gals and I took off our shoes, hung out on the bed and opened up a bottle of wine. Cheers to good friends! *click click* 🍸I'm so fortunate to have met a lot of nice ladies since moving down to D.C.
We were also provided yummy room service that consisted of devil eggs, tuna and finally got to try salmon with cream cheese on a bagel. I always thought that combination was weird but I actually ended up loving it! The staff was super friendly and accommodated all our needs.
