On Wednesdays we wear pink!
For Day 2 of New York Fashion Week I was fortunate enough to attend the Dan Liu show. There was no snow but it was a coooooooooold day in New York City. Brrr! I wanted to wear something that was both eye-catching but still keeps me warm. This dusty pink faux fur coat from AMIclubwear absolutely did the trick. It was one of my favorite personal looks from the week!
I decided to pair the coat with a black base and it definitely gave the pink a really nice contrast. I originally was going to wear the outfit with some kitten heels instead of these black booties but the weather didn't allow me to. All the snow on the ground from the blizzard the day before really threw a wrench in some outfits but I still liked the way the look turned out. Even though the booties didn't give me the dressed up look I was going for, the faux fur coat really made the outfit work exactly how I wanted it to. Now, on to the show..

The Dan Liu Fall/Winter 2017/2018 collection was absolutely gorgeous. The theme of the show was Fairy Tale of Autumn and it began with an acrobatic performer coming down the runway wearing patches of autumn leaves. Can someone say genius!? It definitely set the tone for the remainder of what was a fantastic show. The show had some versatile looks. The models sported a variety of dresses with many patterns, various styles, and diverse cuts. There were so many pieces that I wanted to just rip off of the runway and have them magically appear in my Kloset. The last model come out with some eye-catching wings. Not Red Bull wings, but authentic wings as an accessory to the outfit. I thought that was super cute, and more evidence that the accessories can take your entire look to the next level. The finale was amazing because Dan Liu himself was on the runway singing George Michael's "Kissing a Fool" while the models completed their final walk. His voice was phenomenal! A creative designer and underrated singer? That's what I call a good combo. Here are some of my favorite looks from the entire show:
Hope you guys enjoyed this look and collection from Dan Liu!
