Mixing Feminine Pieces With Menswear

menswear, bomber jacket, mixing feminine and masculine, mixing wardrobe pieces

I recently was cleaning out my husband's coat closet and came across this color-block bomber jacket. I instantly thought of styling it by mixing it with some feminine pieces. It was genius because I loved
the way the look came out and the two very different pieces paired well. Hope my husband doesn't mind I took his bomber jacket out for a spin on the blog. :)

This year I said I wanted to try different styles in my wardrobe and push my style limit a bit. I was very hesitant on shooting this look because it's very different than what I'm use to styling. I'm glad I shot the look anyway because I ended up loving it. To balance the over-sized fit of the jacket I paired it with a bodycon dress and a white top underneath. The tight fit of the dress gave the jacket the perfect balance so that I didn't look too baggy or washed out by the jacket. For footwear I originally had in mind to wear more feminine heels but decided on these low cut booties. They added a casual vibe and worked so much better than heels.

Ladies, would you mix menswear in your wardrobe?
