T-minus 16 days until Christmas!
With today's post, I teamed up with two of my favorite blogger babes: Carmen from SimplyCarmenRenee and Rochelle from The Bloggerella. This collaboration is to bring you guys a little holiday party style wear. This is one of three style scenarios we will be working on together to bring you guys some outfit inspiration and tips for this holiday season. I love how we each brought our own style on what to wear to a holiday party, and it's always great to see similar hues and textures used by three distinct fashionistas. Please check out their blogs so you can see more pics and tips on how they styled their looks.
Here's a little more of my holiday party look...
When I think of holiday attire, especially for a holiday party, I automatically think of metallics, bright gold colors, red bold lipsticks and pretty much anything that can be both fun AND flirty. When I first came across these tights I complete fell in love with them. I mean... come on guys! Gold shiny tights, what's not to love? Originally, I was planning on pairing the tights with a black skirt but this pleated gold metallic skirt from Forever21 came in the mail just in time. (btw, it's currently on sale for $12.53 loves!). To keep the holiday color palette with this outfit, I added this red chiffon blouse that has a very delicate gold trim detail. This is such a festive look for a holiday party.
Now ladies, I must confess something to you: the hat was not originally a part of the plan for this outfit but it was SUPER cold when I shot this look so the hat was both needed and fashionable. I loved how it came together for a cozy holiday look. Has that ever happened to you guys were you think an essential is just an essential, but it really accentuates your entire outfit?
Lastly, I added some black pumps, a black pea coat (which is such a winter essential) and a bold red lip, of course! I swear, I think I won't be using red lipstick for a while after the holidays. lol. I've been stuck in a red lipstick phase lately.
Did you guys like this holiday look?
On another note, I drove all around my town trying to find any holiday decorations up for these pics to really give this shoot a holiday vibe in the background but I guess my town hasn't been bit by the holiday spirit yet. Lol
