Chic on the Go

Happy Tuesday guys!
I've been feeling a little "defeated" lately and felt like I need a little motivation. I guess we all have those days, right?  My lovely husband surprised me over the weekend with the #GirlBoss book; attached to the gift was a note that read "Follow your dreams. You're too good to not make them a reality." This came at the perfect moment for the uplifting inspiration I need.

Outfit Details:

Blazer - FurorModa (here *on sale*)
Shirt - Lucky Brand via Burlington Coat Factory
Jeans - Forever21
Shoes - Agac'i - (also love these)

Accessories:

Bag  - Forever21
Necklace - Forward Fashionista

There goes my favorite $4 blazer! I finally got wear it over the weekend to the BoWhore fashion show event. I will tell you more about the event at the end the post. Back to the outfit. So, it was a little chilly on Saturday and it felt like Fall came by to say hi. I threw on a blazer and embraced the Fall weather. No sense in fighting it lol #teamsummer. I wanted to dress comfy since the event was in New York but I still wanted to make sure I still looked very trendy and chic. I found this houndstooth print shirt in the summer clearance rack. Shirts like these and tank tops are on summer clearance but they are a great buy because they can be worn underneath a blazer for the Fall. I was going to pair the look with distressed boyfriend jeans but there was just too much going on. Fashion tip of the day: Sometimes less is more. With that said, I went with plain dark denim.
I wore white mid heels and my white tote bag to fit my camera for the show. To finish the outfit, I added a bold red lip and my hair picked up. I always feel that makes me look very sophisticated. My husband calls me a debutante.

Now on to the event.....

This purple skirt is my FAVORITE!

The Designer, Jewelz

Blogger buddy Marcel from BeautyintheShadows17, and her friend Mel.

Jewelz aka Bow is an independent designer with a passion and dream. The collection was called #MeetMaryJane. The designs were cute and funky and I love how they go from dressy and girly to street style and grungy. There's a little bit of something for everyone. I love the passion and drive behind the fashionista. Her mission is to provide a trendy style that is comfortable to wear and is, also, representative of her likes.
I enjoyed the fashion show, great music and good company. To see and read more about Ms Jewelz, you can do so at her site; BoWhore.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a great day!
