Let's Get Festive

Happy Tuesday!
So excited that Christmas is so close!
It's truly my favorite holiday.

Black, red and leopard were just made for each other. That combo is one of my favorites. I've been trying to find the perfect red coat for a while now and I'm excited I came across this one. The details just did it for me. I love the hi-low cut, the tie around the waist and the high neck collar. I don't even need a scarf if I button it all the way to the top. Perfection! It was on sale for $25 at Charlotte Russe, I'm a sucker for their outerwear.

I paired the coat with a pair of faux leggings and these cute bow pumps. This created such a festive chic look. Can we just talk about these shoes?! I finally found a pair of shoes with a bow on it. I originally wanted them in red but they were sold out. These black ones are just the perfect touch of chic. I added a little pop of print with this leopard clutch. I'm so glad I found this leopard clutch for under $25 because I've been wanting one for a while but a lot of the ones I was loving were over $65 and I did not want to pay that much for a clutch.

I added one last element to the look with this sequins beret. It added a little holiday sparkle!

Outfit Details:

Coat: Charlotte Russe (here) || Sequined beret: Forever21 (here) || Clutch: JustFab or (here) || Pants: old (similar here) || Shoes: ShoeDazzle || On my lips: NYX butter #bls08 Mary Janes

Hope you guys are prepared and ready for all the holiday festivities!
It's truly the most wonderful time of the year.
I will be spending it with my family eating, drinking and dancing.
I hope you guys get to spend it with good company.
May you be blessed with good health, good laughs, and everything your heart desires.

On My Lips

It's Beauty Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

SO sorry that I was a little slow on posting last week on the blog but it's really been a crazy past couple of days. Between looking for a new apartment and finishing up my holiday shopping, it's been a lot in such a short span of time.
I've never been the one to leave holiday shopping for the last minute but this year, somehow, I did. (insert crying emoji) Lol.

Birthday Photo Diary

If you follow me on Instagram or read yesterday's post you know that it was my birthday yesterday! I turned 29. Yikes! I must say that just hearing that age freaks me out because it's the last year of my 20's. Of course my husband put it in perspective and told me for a person that's 29 I have a lot accomplished and have a lot to be grateful for in my life. That indeed is true. I think that's how we have to view life because what ever position you are in life right now there's always someone who wishes they were in that stage of life that you're in. There's even those who aren't fortunate enough to celebrate birthdays with loved ones.

Style Scenario Collaboration: Winter Coats

Happiest of Monday to you all!

Today is my official birthday!!

I'm so happy and blessed to see another year of life. I will have a birthday recap of all the fun I had over the weekend and last few days on tomorrow's blog post.

Today, I've teamed up again with my lovely blogger babes Carmen from SimplyCarmenRenee and Rochelle from TheBloggerella for another style scenario. Today's scenario is all about winter coats! Such an essential piece to the cold season. We wanted to show you guys how to style one and still look chic especially during the holiday season. Head over to their blogs and see how they styled their fab winter coats.

                                  Me          ||       Carmen    ||    Rochelle

During the winter months it gets very hard to showcase your personal style in your outfits because of all the layers we are forced to pack on. This is why investing in a fab winter coat is one of the main essentials for the cold season. From a bold print, bright color, or even subtle accents like fur can make all the difference for a great winter wear.
It's no secret that houndstooth is one of my favorite prints and this coat is one of my favorites season after season. Would you believe me if I told you I got it for only $20?! I found it last season at Joyce Leslie during their winter sale. I honestly could't believe the price it was dropped down to. I knew this coat was going to become a statement piece for the winter.

I paired it with some winter white jeans and a basic chambray top. I wanted to add a little chic factor to the outfit and these over the knee boots really did the trick.
I love OTK boots because they look well with pretty much anything. These classic black ones? I will probably hold on to until the heel comes off because it's very hard for me to find OTK boots that actually fit all the way up my legs. When I found these stretchy ones I held on to them for dear life!

Btw, did you notice I switched up the lip color!?

Outfit Details:

Coat: Joyce Leslie (similar here) || Chambray: Target || Jeans: H&M ||
Necklace: TheForwardFashionista (sold out, also love this one) || OTK boots: Forever21 (old) (similar here) || On my lips: Milani #20 Uptown Mauve

I'm off to celebrate today and enjoy 29 years of life!

A Holiday Bow

Happy Friday eve!

"It's the most wonderful time of year...."
I can't help but sing all these Christmas songs in my head.

Today's look is another festive holiday look. This one is more flirty and fun. I really wanted to just twirl over and over in this skirt but the wind was not letting me have my moment. You might remember this skirt when I posted it on Instagram for Halloween. It was a part of my inspired pinup girl look that I created (here) and now I'm wearing it into the holiday season.
Talk about versatile. Lol.

I paired the full midi skirt with a chevron print sweater from Charlotte Russe. The colors went so well together and I was able to really bring a festive feel to the outfit. I topped it off with these super cute bow pumps. I'm really obsessed with bows on shoes. They really add such a cute delicate feel to them.

A red lip and a red clutch and viola! You are ready for some holiday festivities!

The Embellished Sweater (Holiday Style)

Hi guys!

Welcome back to my Kloset guys!

Today, I'm bringing you guys another holiday look. This one is much more on the casual side. I'm very conscious of the fact that not everyone likes to overdress with all the over the top hues and sparkles for the holiday so I wanted to show you a more casual holiday look that you can try. I'm more of the sparkles and glam for the holiday; honestly, you can blame my grandma and my entire family because they are very big on getting dressy dressy for holidays.

I got this embellished sweater at Target from their Black Friday deals. I love embellishment tops because they just add that instant little glam to what sometimes ends up looking like a plain old top. Unfortunately, the embellishments didn't pick up as well in the pictures but in person I promise you it looks super cute. I chose to wear it as a layered piece, and threw a white button up underneath. A white button up is such an essential to your wardrobe because of how versatile a piece it is.

Finalizing the outfit, I went with these gold pumps and red clutch. The red clutch really gave it the little holiday touch. These gold babies are so comfy and are one my favorites to wear around this time of year.

If you don't want to dress up too much this holiday season, just add a few festive accessories to your outfit to create a simple holiday style.

Outfit Details:

Sweater: Target (here) || Button up: Target || Jeans: Love Culture ||
Shoes: Shiekh Shoes (here) || On my lips: Wet n' Wild #910D
"Red Velvet" (my fav!)

Hope you guys enjoyed today's post.

Have a great day loves!
