Cozy Sweater Weather

Happy humpday!
We're halfway through the week and one day closer to Halloween!
Is anybody dressing up? What are your plans!?

If I haven't said it before, burgundy is one of my favorite fall colors. I don't know why but this color just reminds me of crunchy leaves and warm lattes. I picked this cozy sweater up from Dynamite on sale (and its currently still on sale and I have linked it below for you guys).
You can never have too many sweaters in the fall so I knew this one was going to come in handy.

I wanted to create more of a chic look with the sweater, so instead of going with just regular jeans and boots I paired it with this denim skirt.
I love the gold zipper in the front because it definitely added a little more detail to the look. I finished the look with some neutral tones to help bring the look together, and then threw on these gladiator heels and a simple clutch.

A Perfect Pairing

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Hi guys!

This is one of my favorite dresses and guess what? I found it at a thrift store during my visit to Washington DC this past summer. Even more importantly, it only cost $13! I couldn't believe the price.
It had such a vibrant and pretty color, with a gorgeous zipper and incredible detail on the back. I also loved that it was a shift dress because they fit so comfortably.

Of course, whats a dress without the perfect accessories?! I received these gorgeous jewels courtesy of Michal Golan and I fell in love with them. If you haven't heard of them, they are a company that specializes in beautiful accessories that are designed and handmade by Ms Golan herself. She was born in Israel and I love how she brings her culture into her work. She's able to utilize vibrant hues in really exquisite pieces, and I'm incredibly humbled to have the opportunity to style one of their pieces. For more information on their products, please check out the link.

I chose this evil eye necklace from the collection because it stood out to me. The design was simplistic in nature and gorgeously made. The design also stood out to me because the eye is actually worn as a good luck charm  in the Dominican Republic. This alone brought me back to thoughts from my culture and upbringing. If you guys don't know, babies usually wear a evil eye bracelet (mal de ojo) to ward off any evil thoughts or wishes.

To complete this outfit I, also, wore this Hamsa cuff bracelet that had aqua glass beads. It was the perfect pairing with the dress and the necklace. Sometimes your accessories can either make your outfit or support it.

Lastly, I finished the look with a chic pair of cheetah heels and (of course) my all time favorite red lip! I just can get enough of a classic bold red lipstick.

Comfortable Plaid

Monday, October 27, 2014

Monday we meet again!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Did you notice the URL change?! I'm officially pattyskloset.com now. I decided to change it because the dot blogspot was just way too long.
I wanted to make the change to match my blog's name and as an effort to keep things simple. Don't worry; if you still type my old url website it will re-direct you to my new one.
Hope you guys like the change!

Doesn't this background look like a fake backdrop?! I just love mother nature and all the pretty fall colors right now. The pictures almost look like a postcard with the beautiful autumn hues.
Now....onto the outfit.
I found this plaid shirt in the clearance section of Target. (I linked this exact one below and they are currently buy one, get one for 50% off) They had some pretty good stuff on sale. I came across a lot of plaid shirts and this one stood out to me. I love the pink and blue mix and the elbow patches. Plaid is the it print for fall and definitely one of my favorites. I love mixing them with jeans, skirts or even a faux fur vest. They pretty much go with anything.
I created this relaxed look by pairing it with these dark wash jeans, beige booties and a beige fringe purse.  It's a very easy and put together look for the days you don't want glam up to much. I think we all have those days, huh? lol
Are you guys rocking plaid this fall season?

There's a few more exciting changes and things coming to the blog that I will share with you guys soon.
Thanks, as always, for visiting my Kloset.
Have a blessed day!

A Fall Jacket

Thursday, October 23, 2014

Happy Thursday guys!

This look is very simple and yet is one of my favs! There's something about a cute fall faux leather jacket that just adds that finishing touch to an outfit. When I had seen this one online on Charlotte Russe I fell in love with it. I knew it would be the perfect touch for fall. CR currently has a lot of cute fall outerwear for good prices so definitely check them out. I paired the jacket with a plain black tank and these Forever21 jeans which cost me $7.80! How amazing is that, great fit and great price.

I elected to add no jewelry to keep the look cool and simple instead I added a pop of print with these snake skin babies. They are currently my favorite shoe of the moment in my shoe kloset. Lastly, I added this really bold lipstick. I didn't realized how bright and bold it was until I had it on. It was a great addition to the outfit.

The Perfect Fit with eShakti

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

Happy humpday guys!

I'm so happy to share today's post with you guys because I'm so in love with this skirt! When eShakti reached out to me, I was very excited to work with them. If you haven't heard about eShakti, they are what you call a fresh concept in fashion customization. They offer both style and customization for women's clothing online in sizes 0-36. A custom fit is always the best fit, in my opinion. This feature is great for when you want to wear a perfect outfit for a perfect ocassion.

I once read in a astrology book that a physcial trait in most Sagittarius's (like me) is that their top half doesn't match their bottom half. That's so me! I often struggle with jeans where they will fit me perfect from the legs but huge from the waist (thank God for belts) because my top half is smaller than my bottom half. I'm also short (5'1) so when it comes to skirts not all of them are for me. I wish I owned every midi and full skirt in the world because I love that style so much. However, I am vertically challenged so I often look like I'm swimming in them when I try them on. When I chose this skirt from eShakti, I was asked to customize it. I sent in all my measurements from height to waist and thighs and made sure it was at the perfect length for me. I really loved the outcome!

I paired the skirt with a chambray top and strappy black pumps. I just wanted to do twirls all day! One of my favorite features on the skirt is the pockets. That was a big plus for me. When customizing it, I had the option of closing the pockets but I love pockets on skirts so I kept it. It was truly a perfect fit.

If you want to try your own custom order, I have a special discount for you guys! From now until 11.15.14, you can use coupon code thefashionvictim14 for 10% off your order at eShakti.

Gray Days

Monday, October 20, 2014

Happy Monday!
Did you guys love that cold front that hit us on Sunday!? I surely didn't! That was such a winter preview and I'm seriously not ready for it. Wahh!

It was such a gray and gloomy day when I shot these pictures. The weather matched my gray vibe AND outfit. These gray sweat pants are super comfy; I mean, they're sweat pants and you can't get anymore comfier than that. I really love the "dressing up your sweat pants" trend and decided to try it for myself. I bought these pants on a major H&M online sale and they ended up coming out to $10. I think you guys know by now that I love a good sale.
I decided to keep the gray scheme going when pairing the pants. I wore it with a plain gray sweater but, to give it a little touch of chic, I decided to add a black collared shirt underneath. It made a really big difference. I kept the jewelry accessories to a minimum; instead, I accessorized the outfit with these fab strappy shoes and my favorite H&M go-to bag. It definitely brought the look together.

What do guys think of the dressing up your sweats trend? Would you try it?
