A few months ago my family and I were able to move to a two bedroom unit in the same building. I absolutely hate moving but the space was something we needed. Man does a baby need a lot of things! It was a great opportunity and we converted the second room into Leah's nursery. It's great to have more space and as she's growing I love that she has her own space to play with her toys.

When it came to a theme I didn't really want to make it too specific but I knew I wanted the colors pink and gold since they look so beautiful together. The furniture in the room are a mix from Buy Buy Baby, Ikea, and Walmart. The first piece of furniture we ordered was the crib and everything just kind of came together. We looked into cribs that were convertible so she can have for a long time but one of our goals for 2019 is to become homeowners and if that wish comes true I know I will be doing her room entirely again. I love decorating! So we went with a less expensive crib that was practical and functional for us in the moment. This crib still converts but it's more of a simple style conversion. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to have a crib for a very long time. The price was great and worked for our short term plan. The crib wasn't part of a set so when looking for a changing table I tried to match it with the crib best as possible. I like this changing table because it has two levels to store all her essentials and I bought 3 baskets to organize them. I also added a changing pad on the top and if you read this post  then you know why.

For her clothes we bought a huge Ikea unit which was perfect when we were living in the small space because the closet space was limited but it worked out perfectly in her room now even though the room had a closet already. Leah was so blessed and received so many essentials and clothes during the baby shower so I used the Ikea unit to store her clothes she's currently fitting into 3-6 months clothes and I use the actual closet to store the clothes that don't fit her yet as well as storage for her backup essentials. I started this new thing on my Instagram and saved them on my highlights called "Daily Tutu Looks". I'll be sharing her everyday looks there. Even though we don't go outside everyday I still dress her up in the house so the clothes don't go to waste. I want to do an entire post on organizing her clothes that I think has worked well for me and can help you if you are looking on how to organize baby clothes.

The last big piece of furniture was a sofa which pulls out into a bed. I love sitting on there to read to her and my dog loves sitting there and waiting for me while I go in to change her diaper or just when I'm in there. It's the cutest thing! I also feed her on there sometimes and if she falls asleep during the day while being fed I can quickly transfer her to her crib. She still sleeps with me in our room in her bassinet but during the day she naps in the crib while I watch her on the monitor and she seems to nap longer when in her room.

Once all the big furniture came in everything else just came together. I added a few pictures around the room from my maternity shoot and I still have two empty frames I'm just undecided which pictures to add of her in them. Over the crib I added a personalized wall decal with her name. When I posted this on my stories, so many of you were interested in it! It's from Amazon and you can customize it and also change the colors. It's a great alternative to filling up a wall if you don't want to add any frames for safety purposes or make any holes to the wall. I also added a little library area because we love to read to her even when she was in my stomach. That 3 cube organizer use to be in my office space but I ended up not needing it any more and it became a great place to store her books!

I linked everything in this post and if it's not available I linked similar pieces!
