These uncertain times we are living definitely has me (and probably everyone) feeling anxious and scared right now. I've made the decision a few weeks ago to not watch the news anymore because I realized it was a major source of my anxiety. Through the beginning of this I had a few panic attacks but I have managed to keep my anxiety level low. I started doing a few things weekly and sometimes daily that I've notice have helped me feel better during these tough times. I started focusing my energy on things that make me happy and here are some of the few things I've notice have helped me. I would love for you guys to share yours in the comments below.

Things That Have Made Me Feel Better During These Tough Times

Jotting down what I'm grateful for
I love jotting things down. Even for work purposes I love using a journal to write my to-do list even while have a million apps on my phone that can do that. There's something satisfying about actually writing down the things I'm grateful for. I started to put thing into perspective and seeing them written down have helped me a lot. I'm grateful my husband still can work remotely and get paid, my family is healthy, and heck we have toilet paper. All big and small things I write down. Some days I ask

Dressing up and putting on a little makeup
This may sound superficial to some people but to me it changes my mood instantly. Hey, I'm not saying I wear a full face of makeup in the house and an Oscar worthy gown but putting myself together does wonders to my mood. Like I've mentioned before my family and I try to do daily walks around the block just to get some fresh air for 15 minutes. For last week's walk I actually wore jeans which was a great change from loungewear and a new black and white lapel two tone jacket from ROSEGAL which is a new piece in my wardrobe. It's funny how a new spring jacket to go outside with for just a few minutes can boost my mood during these times.

Getting fresh air around the block
This one ties into the last one. Getting fresh air around the block or just in front of our complex puts a smile on my face. Getting out of the apartment and a change of scenery even if it's just a few minutes makes me feel great. I'm so grateful we live in a closed townhouse complex where we have the option to get fresh air without coming in contact with anyone else.

TV time with my husband
After my daughter goes to sleep my husband and I have a few hours of tv time every night. Sometimes it's catching up on shows we like or watching movies. This is nothing out of the ordinary because we did this pre pandemic time but right now during those 3-4 hours of tv time my mind is else where and I don't think about the craziness that's going on in the world.

Facetime with family
I'm so glad we live in a time with great technology. Ha! Heck, I love that we can even do Netflix viewing parties with family members together. Things like that definitely makes me feel like we are together. Facetiming and video calls to our family is one thing I love to do. We facetime our family weekly and some everyday. Just to see everyone's face makes me feel better during social distancing.
