New Year: 3 Healthy Tips For a Busy Lifestyle

It's so crazy to think but the first month of the new year is almost coming to a close. Have you been keeping up with your resolutions? I don't like to make resolutions but I do like to make a list of things I would like to do or keep up with for the upcoming new year. One of the things on my list was to take more care of my mind and body. As a full-time content creator and blogger, it is a very busy lifestyle with a lot of moving parts to keep up with. I feel like I work twice as hard now that I work for myself compared to when I was working in an office. I think it is partially because you have to go out there and hustle for your paycheck, on behalf of your business and brand, harder than ever.

At the end of 2017, I had so many campaigns and deadlines due. I was working my butt to the core to the point that I would skip meals just to keep working. For the new year, I wanted to find a balance where I can chase my dream and simultaneously take care of my body. Today, I am sharing three healthy tips that I have been putting into play since the new year and that has been working for me.

3 Healthy Tips For a Busy Lifestyle

1. Don't Forget Breakfast

Start your day right and make sure you eat a healthy breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day because it gives you the fuel needed to sustain energy for the rest of the day. Complex carbohydrates like oatmeal and fruits or high fiber meals like bread and whole grain cereal are great in the morning. I cannot tell you the difference in my body during the days I eat breakfast versus the days I don't. It makes a big difference and helps me fuel up for a busy day ahead.

2. Healthy Snacks

Having healthy snacks is such an important one. In theory, we are supposed to be eating every 3 hours but with a busy lifestyle I know that does not always happen. If you're having a busy day at the office, have to pick up your kids, or even if you work from home like me there are times where you're in the groove or in the middle of a project and don't want to stop to make a full blown meal. That is when a snack comes in handy. One of my favorite healthy snacks to grab is Oikos Protein Crunch Yogurt. It has no artificial sweeteners and has more nutrients, like 17 grams protein and 6 grams of fiber, to help you get through your busy day. These yogurts can be purchased at your local Walmart in the dairy section. Don't forget to use Ibota for a great deal on these protein-packed yogurts.

3. Stay Hydrated

Water, water, water! At least eight glasses of water a day can help keep your energy levels high and help with digestion. They, also, help you keep your skin flawless! I always keep a bottle of water on my desk or make sure to have one in my purse when I'm on the go. For me, I've noticed that if I don't have water with me on the go I end up drinking a sugary drink. To avoid that, I carry a bottle of water with me at all times.

Cheers to a healthy lifestyle!
