Rihanna Makeup Inspired look

Happy Humpday!

Hope you guys are having a great week. I wanted to do a beauty post and recreate RiRi's makeup look. I came across this picture on my Twitter and not only do I love me some Rihanna but I, also, fell in love with this make up look. A nice fab cat eye and a beautiful pink lip to go with it.

I'm no makeup artist but I love playing with makeup. I love watching Youtube videos and I feel they have helped me more and more with my makeup looks. Practice always makes perfect in my book. Check out how I created this easy make up inspired look using all drug store products.

Products used:

ELF Mineral Face Primer
Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (color Caramel/ Dark 2)
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser
Maybelline Fit pressed powder #355
Maybelline Master Kajal eyeliner (black)
Maybelline Define -a Brow (medium brown)
ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Ardell Lashes #110 Black (c/o Lash Closet)

Let's get started!

Let's get started with some primer. It's very important to use primer because it definitely helps keep your makeup on longer. Next, I applied my Mousse foundation with a flat top Kabuki brush and set it with the pressing powder.

I used the age rewind eraser to highlight under my eyes, bridge of my nose, chin and forehead with a wet beauty blender.
Then, to fill my eyebrows, I chose to go with this brow pencil that I am currently obbssed with. I don't like to fill my eyebrows in too dark. I feel it looks good on other people but not on me so with this pencil I define them and fill them in lightly.
I want to do a separate post on my eyebrows soon to show you guys how I wax them at home. About a month ago I went to my usual nail salon to get them waxed and boy did she mess them up. It was a disaster! I decided to take them out myself going forward and I love the outcome when I tried it for the first time. Btw, it took me a month to get them back to normal. Thank God for eyebrow pencils because I was able to hide the massacre until they grew in lol.

Up next? The eyes. This crayon pencil is great, especially for beginners who are trying to get a good wing going. Once I got my wing, I took an angled brush to smudge the bottom lid. It totally created a lot of drama to the eyes. I typically would wear dramatic eyes like these for a night outing. I, also, applied my falsies. I normally don't wear falsies unless it's a night dressed up occasion for that extra glam. After applying the falsies, I applied my favorite mascara by Maybelline.

To finish the look, I applied the bronzer powder on the sides of my nose, cheek bones and sides of my forehead. This was my first time trying this duo pallet and I love it. The blush side of it is a little light,  which worked for this look because in RiRi's makeup look she has minimal blush. I love a more rosy cheek, so I won't be using the blush side too much for this duo pallet. Lastly, I applied one of my favorite NYX lippies to finish the look.

Viola! This is the finished make up look!
Sorry for the lack of lighting but my current apartment lacks in the light department lol. I'm counting down moving into a new place (2more months)! I can't wait to have a little makeup area set up with better lighting.

Would you guys wear this makeup look? Let me know what you think.
