Tropical Vibes

Friday, June 27, 2014

TGIF !
Happy Friday loves.
This is my last "Tropical" post I have from my trip.

Summer is all about bright and happy colors for me. I love mixing neons with a black and white pallet. This was an easy breezy look and the neons brought the look to life.

I wore this black-striped skirt with a high slide slit. It was perfect for walking the island at night and for a romantic dinner. Originally, I wanted to pair the skirt with a neon blouse but I've learned my lesson in the past about overpacking for vacation and I only brought 2 pairs of shoes and not 20. lol. Therefore, I based my vacation outfits around these neon pumps. I paired the skirt with this graphic tank top from Charlotte Russe. This tank top is very versatile; I've worn it before in the fall underneath a blazer and it could, also, be worn as a beach throw over your swimsuit because it’s definitely long enough. Fashion Tip: Always go with pieces that you can wear different ways. It is cost-effective and you’ll be able to get so much use out of them. I love versatile pieces, and I can wear this graphic tank for all seasons!

To finish the look, I added a hot pink lipstick and hot pink clutch. Loving this tropical vibe!

"A Girl should be two things: Classy and Fabulous"

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Happy Thursday!

Ahhhhh I can just smell the beach. This was the balcony to our suite in Antigua. Who wouldn't love waking up to this view every morning? Overlooking the beach gave me such a pretty background that I just had to take a few pictures here.
I've had this black jump suit for a couple years in my Kloset. I packed it a few times with me in the past but I just never ended up wearing it. I finally decided to take it on my honeymoon and made sure I wore it. Believe it or not, this jumpsuit cost me 5 bucks!! I think its one of my most proudest bargains. It was hanging on the sales rack at Mandees and didn't really look too interesting but I decided to take it to the fitting room with me and I loved it. One of my bargain shopping tips is always give things a try. Sometimes things can look like a rag just thrown in a sales rack but it's always worth it to try it on because you'll never know what gem you'll find.
I paired the jump suit with a gold body chain, neon heels and a purple lip. I love to wear neon colors when I'm on vacation so I made sure to pack these neon babies with me. I really loved wearing this sexy meets classy look; it was the perfect outfit for dinner overlooking the ocean. FYI: lots of double sided tape helped prevent any wardrobe malfunction. lol

When in Doubt... Wear a Maxi

Tuesday, June 24, 2014

When in doubt ... wear a maxi.
It's seriously maxi season because they are just so practical and versatile.

I fell in love with this little gazebo overlooking the water in Antigua and I just had to take pictures here. It was the perfect background for this tropical maxi dress. I shot this look on our last day there and man was it hot! Just looking at these pictures makes me feel like I'm right there feeling the warm sun and smelling the salty water.
On to this outfit; I fell in love with this maxi dress when I had first seen it. I love the tropical prints on it. It's perfect to pack in your luggage for a vacation. I love the gold chain details on the straps towards the back because it gives the maxi a little chic look. You can't see it in the pics, but I have on wedges. This is one of my maxi's I have to dress up a bit since I can only wear them with wedges or shoes because with flats it drags a bit on the floor. (#Shortgirlproblems).
To finish the look I wore mirrored aviators, a pink lip and this funky pineapple hairdo I tried. If you follow me on Instagram you can see I cut my hair into a short bob, so I can't try this hairdo again lol. I've always seen people try the "pineapple" hairdo so I decided to give it a try. What do you guys think of this funky hair do?

Beach Style in Antigua

Monday, June 23, 2014

Happy Monday!
Time is flying and I can't believe summer is here already. Here's a beach outfit I wore while in Antigua.

What to wear to the beach? I'm very excited summer is here and my usual go to outfits for the beach or pool are maxi dresses or high waisted shorts. I purchased these high waisted shorts last minute right before my honeymoon. I knew they would come in handy for the trip and the summer. They work great with crop tops or a bikini top.
I'm still obsessing over the color coral and I'm loving this fringe bathing suit top. I love the way the color pops against tan skin, so this will be my go to color this summer. To finish off this beach look, I threw this "Always in Style" graphic tee over my bathing suit. Lastly, I wore these coral jelly bow sandals. I'm currently obsessing over bows right now too and I'm loving the jelly sandal trend for the summer. Beach styles should be simple and breezy. What's your favorite beach style?

Bathing suit top - Charlotte Russe

I'm loving the scenery change for today's post. I definitely did not miss New Jersey at all. Antigua was a very pretty and relaxing island. I miss the palm trees and the beach view I had every morning.

Vente-Privee - Event Recap

Sunday, June 22, 2014

Hi guys!!!
I am finally back from my honeymoon! I'm feeling refreshed, motivated and happy to get back to blogging. I did a few shoots while I was down in the beautiful island of Antigua, which I will be posting soon. The scenery was very pretty and relaxing and I can't wait to share photos.

Vente- Privee; Shop this Look

Happy Friday !!
I'm wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
I wanted to share these outfit details and let you guys know where to get this designer look for less!

I attended a fun event last week in New York City by Vente-Privee. If you haven't heard of Vente-Privee, they are an online destination for great savings on various brands at 50 - 70% off. So, if you love great brands on a budget, you can become a member and take advantage of limited time sales.

I wanted to do this post before I left for my honeymoon because this awesome chic outfit that I'm wearing will be on sale over the weekend starting today! I will definitely have an event recap on this event  and a little more of what Vente-Privee offers upon my return. I, also, have many more pictures to share with you guys.

It was fun being a model for a day and trying on cute clothes with my blogger babes. What girl wouldn't love that?!  I got to choose an outfit and highlight one item I really loved. I went for a chic polished look with these printed shorts by Sonia Rykiel. I'm currently obsessed with printed pants/shorts for the spring/ summer so I was immediately drawn to these shorts. They are currently 55% off! Cute printed shorts and great prices, now that's a combination I love!

These shorts work great for the summer because you can pair them with a simple white top like I did and add colorful pumps. For the shoot, I opted for these metalic ones but you can match them with bright colors if you're aiming for a brighter outfit with a more vibrant color like a hot pink or a yellow. I added this dangling pearl necklace and it gave my outfit a chic vibe. This is something I would definitely wear on a summer night to go out for drinks with my girls.

This seriously looks like a blogger yearbook photo. lol! These were the blogger babes I attended the event with. I will share more photos and a full recap when I return.

If you want to shop my look on sale this weekend and sign up for Vente-Privee and browse the good sales you can do so here.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

My Last Spring Fling

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Hi guys and happy humpday!
This is my official last post before the big day this weekend.

This look is one of my official spring/summer uniform. You can never go wrong with a full midi skirt and a crop top. I have a little obsession with midi skirts at the moment; aren't they just so cute and feminine?!
This skirt is a little old from the Kloset and I just can't seem to part with it. I love the wild bold prints and colors. I think this makes it the perfect skirt for the warm season. I, also, love that it has pockets, which gives it much more of a chic factor. I kept the top simple by pairing it with a plain white crop top. To finish the look, I went with these brown gladiator heels. I felt that they edged up the look a bit. I finished the outfit with a red clutch and a bold rep lippie. Life favors the bold, and sometimes the bold can come from your accessories.

A Neon Glow

Monday, June 9, 2014

Happy Monday guys!
Hope everyone enjoyed this weekend's weather. It was a nice one!

I love neon colors for the summer. It's my favorite season despite the fact that I despise the crazy heat waves we get. I love the season and I love to dress in bright neons a lot during it. I posted this top in my Fab Finds section when I first got it because it was a steal for $11.99. This top had everything I loved all in one: neon, pink and an embellished collar. The collar is embellished with a pretty neckline with pearls. It's feminine and chic. I paired it with a pair of white jeans. Simple easy breezy look.
To finish the look, I gave my heels a little break and wore these gladiator sandals. They have become my go-to sandals when I give my heels a rest. Lastly, I paired a small black clutch with a pair of black sunnies.

Top - Easy Pickins
Sandals - Charlotte Russe
Clutch - Target
Sunnies - Aldos

Prints with Style

Friday, June 6, 2014

TGIF!
So excited for the weekend. It's going to be a nice one weather wise over here in Jersey.

Printed pants are such a staple in my Kloset. They are simple and yet always find a way to stand out. They can be dressed up or allow you to keep your outfit more towards the casual side. I got these print pants at Mandee for under $20. I feel in love with the print! They are high waisted so they even work well with a crop top. This time I paired them with this loose fitting tank. It matched perfectly with the pants. I love looks like these where they are trouble-free yet chic. Printed pants and printed shorts are great for the summer. I would highly recommend getting a few and trying that style out.

To finish the look, I went with a bold gold necklace. I love the chains on chains look from this one. To play up the color of the pants, I wore my coral pumps. These are a favorite from out my Kloset, as well, and I adore them so much. They are so feminine and the color speaks for itself. Lastly, I added a matching lippie to the shoes. Less is more, but if your pop of color is in the form of an accessory as oppose to a piece of your wardrobe this statement rings even truer.
